Can you give me some birthday gift ideas? I don't know what 2 year olds are into these days

Any ideas would be appreciated

Trust me....2 year old girls LOVE Dora the Explorer and her monkey Boots. Anything to do with them and you are the best aunt EVER!

Anything thats really loud and annoying that she can only play with at home with her mom, and can't bring to Auntie Natalie's house

Ohhh, don't do that. Trust me there is always pay back. Parent's have long memories and when you have kids of your own you will regret that (I learnt that the hard way from my sister!).

How about bubbles? They have containers that are non-spill now, (my mom had them years ago for her daycare) and they are awesome! Does she have a sandbox? Maybe some fun buckets/shovels/fun stuff like that to play outside with, chalk, ect.

Unless she's an indoorsy kinda little girl- fun books/coloring books/crayons and interactive video's are fun too!

I love that, that is so funny! Yup, my daughters used to pull apart barbie dolls until they were unrecognizable.

How about: books on CATS, color books, crayons, plastic blocks, Dora movies or any cartoon movie that they watch at that age,

Just thought of something that my nieces loved at that age and Kevin is getting into. Go to a dollar store and buy a bunch of stickers (flowers, animals, whatever) and a spiral notebook. Then she can put her stickers whereever she wants in her book. Kevin has a book with doggies on front and has sticks of animals, motorcycles, etc on the inside. Plus this gives her something to do with her auntie!

The sidewalk chalk was also a good idea (Kevin love his) but it can get very messy.

At that age, my niece loved dolls of all kinds and stuffed animals. She also loved books with lots of pictures for her to look at and for me to read to her. She's almost 14 now, doesn't like quite the same things! The older she gets, the older I feel!

Just watch it with the stickers....make sure she knows she can only put them in the book, not on the walls, chairs, fridge, etc!

How about a stuffed cat?

Our daughter LOVED play fruits and vegetables! Add a few plates, and she'd be having parties and tea parties, cooking dinner, and serving us plates of foods. They are educational because you can play by sorting colors, food types, and later on you can discuss the food groups and healthy eating. We got some that can be "cut" in half (they have velcro), and she'd always split them, to share.

This was the toy our daughter played with consistently for six years. Now, she helps with parties and cooking for real.

My niece loves the tunnel we got her for Christmas. It was at Target in the garden department and collapses for easy storage. Its about 7 feet long. The funny thing is we also got a tunnel for my Dad's cat. They BOTH liked their gifts.

Coloring books WASHABLE CRAYONS, unless you gotta pay the parents back for anything stay AWAY from Playdoh...My kids will NEVER EVER have until they are like 16....or at school..Dora, Boots, Diego, Spongebob, Patrick, gardening stuff, baby dolls, care bears, tricycle, sidewalk chalk, movies, books.....thats just the tip of the iceburg. I could raid my kids playroom for more ideas if you need them...Id just take a trip to walmart and see what looks fun..if you like to play with it in the store she will probably like it...

Another idea I just thought of, when my niece was young I used to take her to the store and just let her pick out what she wanted. That was she was always happy with her gift.

No one has mentioned the Wiggles yet - My 2 year old loves all of their movies! They are available at Walmart, Zellers, etc.

If you want something really pretty for her go to either the Children's Place or Bonnie Togs. They currently have very pretty summer stuff for girls in store - my niece's 5th birthday is in 2 weeks and I got her the prettiest skirt and top form Bonnie Togs.
