I am sending love and prayers from Georgia!
Well for most indoor cats I would say this to be very true but Jasper was an indoor/outdoor cat. She is familiar with the outdoors. She mostly stuck to the deck and the yard. She would wonder over to the neighbors tree to play with the squirrels or play in the brush around the tree but she was always with in calling distance. Even when she went out she was never out for more than an hour or so.Originally Posted by wookie130
Just to throw in a hopeful note in here for you...
*Cats can go missing for several days, even a week or two...before they wander home themselves.
*Chances are...she's not far. It's very likely she's remained somewhat in her "territory."
*The best way to search for her will be at night. Leave out her favorite (and stinkiest) wet food in a bowl on your steps outside your front door, and watch and wait. When cats get out, they tend to like to hide under porches, or in areas where they can't be seen easily during the day...
Good luck, and don't lose hope just yet. She may just come home to you yet!

I hope Jasper comes home soon, but I think it would be best to keep your cats inside. Most cats that get lost, their owners say that they never strayed from the yard, etc. But cats do, and this is a great example. The outdoors is a very scary, dangerous place for a small cat, and they are much safer indoors.
