I don't know if this has been covered before, but from the treads I read today, it seems like a lot of members read a lot. I have a ton of books I need to go through in the next few weeks. I know I have to get rid of some of them, but I really don't want to just sell them or throw them out. Would anybody be interested in them?

Maybe we can start a book exchange? No cost, just the price of sending them to someone that might enjoy them?

Let me know what you think. I have to get ready for work, so I won't be online until later tonight but give me your opinions.

I think that is a really good idea. I posted in another thread that I have a lot of book that I have read and am ready to pass on. Some hard back some paper back but all in good condition. I am willing to send them anywhere!

Perhaps we should start compiling lists of what we have or authors? or do we just want to send a whole load of books take what you want to read and pass the rest on?

Should we just start a thead about what we have available, either by genre or title and let people post saying what they are interested in receiving? Or, PM if they aren't comfortable posting the address in the main forum?

I am going through my books this weekend but if anyone is ready to start this, go for it!

I would advise EVERYONE not to post their address publicly on the forums!

I think that a book exchange is a great idea...I only really have romance novels tho..Some are suspenseful, historical, and just the regular Harlequin and Siloette (sp?) I also have a couple trilogies and sets that go along. Here are some titles I know off the top of my head..
Hannah Howell-Conquerors Kiss (Historical)
Joan Johnston-The Rivals (suspense)
Patricia Gaffney-Lily (historical)
Judith McNaught-Whitney, my Love (Historical)
Elizabeth Crane-Reflections in Time
Julianne MacLean-Surrender to a Scoundrel (Historical)
Linda Lael Miller-Yankee Wife (Historical)

Ive got tons more that I have to go through...

My husband was sick all weekend, so I didn't have a chance to go through my books, but I will this weekend. I'm so glad people think this is a good idea though! I'll get back with my list soon.
