Frig, what is wrong with people?

I saw on the news this morning a horrible case of animal cruelty.

A German Sheperd..(I think it was a sheperd) had his ears CUT OFF, by his owner

Neighbours saw the dog bleeding on the balcony, and called the authorities.

They didn't mention any punishment to the owner on the news, but the dog is okay and has a big bandage around his head for now..will be put up for adoption in a few months.

The saddest part: Who will take a dog with no ears? Poor guy.

Ugh! A stray dog came into the shelter here with a "home crop job". Meaning....his owner cut off his ears. Sadly, this story does not surprise me....I've heard of cases similar to it before.

There are people who will take him/her. Trust me...some people have hearts!

Actually, especially if the dog hasn't been affected too badly by the abuse, I would imagine he'll have lots of people who want him. People are like that when there is publicity around a case like this.

Poor dog! I wonder how the owner felt if we cut his/her ears off? I think it would only be fair. Someone will adopt that dog. Someone who wants to love and care for it.

Wait a minute - WHY would the owner cut his poor dog's ears off? Because he's a sadistic freak? Or is it a case of grooming gone terribly wrong?

Well grooming gone wrong shouldn't result in 2 ears being completely OFF!! So, I'm guessing sadistic freak

Seriously, why can't the law state "do unto others as you would have done to you" ? Then we could cut the owners ears off

I agree. Hammurabi's Code should be brought in for some circumstances.

This is from another site and it's so true:

I am absolutely inscensed.

To paraphrase from "The Princess Bride," his eyes should be gouged out, his legs cut off, his hands removed and this tongue cut out. The only thing left should be his ears so that he can hear people gasp at his freakish face.

Yep, I knew when I saw the title of this thread I was gonna get mad,

I would take a dog with no ears too, but if we cut off the guys ears, that would just bring us down to the level that he is on.

There is a special place in Hell for people who abuse animals, and I think that I am gonna be the sheriff there. I want that job then.

Lets cut his bloddy ears off now!

Poor dog, what horror it has been through. I would take a dog with no ears, no doubt about it...hopefully the law will pass down a judgement worthy of this abuse and torture..
