www.lush.com it's amazing!!!!!!! also- their prices are really reasonable considering how gentle their products are on skin and how long they last

memphis humidity is soooo delightful!
IT does have patcholi oil in it, so that might help with the frizz.

I'm still on a quest for a good shampoo. Every shampoo that I've ever found that I like has been discontinued leaving me to search again

I have a really itchy, oily, "flakey" (no flakes because of the oil, but if it weren't for the oil there would be flakes) scalp.

I have tried T-Gel but that really didn't work for me. I have tried something called "Citrishine" or something. My hair felt dirty within 6 hours. I have tried Herbal Essence, and while I liked the smell, it really didn't give long lasting results to my scalp. I have tried some others too.

I'm currently using "Head and Shoulders", only I don't like it. The one I bought that had some mint in it to help combat the itch is a "2 in 1" which means it has a conditioner in it. My hair feels dirty right after I wash it.

As for conditioner, I don't use it anymore. When my hair was longer I used to use it on the ends but never near my scalp. But since I've gone to a short style I just use shampoo. As a matter of fact I have 4 bottles of "Herbal Essence" conditioner sitting in my pantry and I'm trying to rehome, LOL

Anyone know of a brand of shampoo that is good? I'm not interested in having to go to a salon to buy shampoo, or ordering online. It has to be available in the drug store or supermarket.

I just started using Sunsilk scalp care with avocado milk the last month or two. I also tried t-gel (too stinky) and head and shoulders (didnt do much). If you have sunsilk in Canada i suggest you try this one. It's in a peachy coloured bottle

Thanks, I'll look for it at Shopper's Drug Mart the next time I'm there. I'm tired of scratching and having greasy feeling hair. I've been considering using my dish soap as a shampoo! LOL

I have used that soak and float shampoo - the smell is rather strong!
But it does work well.

I agree- i HATE Neutrogena shampoos/conditioners- they're just aweful!!! I've tried them all out of desperation (t-sal, t-gel..many different ones) none worked. Head & Shoulders and other brand like that didn't work for me eithor- if anything, they made my psorasis worse!!! What did work was me finally making myself go to the dermatologist.
He prescribed Ketoconazole Shampoo 2% and Betamethasone Valerate Lotion usp, .1% (i had to look at the bottles!) they're AMAZING!!!! I will NEVER use OTC shampoo/lotion for psorasis again because they just aren't strong enough for me. These two however are incredable- they've completly cleared up my scalp and keep it itch free!!
When i'm not using my prescription stuff- i use Lush's Godiva solid shampoo- it's amazing!!!!
(i'm also wanting to try seanick and several other lush shampoos too when i get some money!) i also like loreal nutri gloss shampoos and conditioners- they seem to work ok on my hair
I can not go without conditioner as my hair gets insane and matts like nothing you've ever seen!! Also- you might want to stop using 2in1' sweetie- shampoos and conditioners do not mix well together- so when they're combined (like in the 2 in 1 formulas) they cause more buildup/issues than they do clean. You should try using a shampoo on your hair (and if you don't need to condition much) a very light leave in conditioner just to your tips
- that way your scalp won't be greasy but your hair will be just right!

I use Tresemme's deep cleaning shampoo(best for my curls) & Pantene classic care conditioner & then Tresemme moisture rich or Vitamin E conditioner as a leave in.

How are the sunsilk products?

WalMart's equivalent of Nexxus (currently). I switch up shampoos/conditioner when its gone - not good to keep using the same stuff.

i tried the green one (anti frizz), the anti-pouf ones (blue i think) and the pink ones.....i wasn't happy with ANY of the ones i tried. (i have natural brown wavy hair that is medium texture and tangles/frizzes very easily.)

John Frieda's Straight Ahead is the only thing I have EVER found that can tame my unruly hair.

It's AMAZING, my hair has never looked healthier.

Nikki, why do you tempt me so????

I have, again from Lush since I'm a junkie:
-Godiva (and yes, it's as amazing as Nikki waxed poetic about earlier in the thread)
-Seanik (no smell, but it does lovely things for my hair and gets a really nice lather- in general, not just for a solid shampoo)
-Cynthia Sylvia Stout (why does my shampoo have "stout" in the title? Because it has organic Irish stout in it. That's right. I wash my hair with beer. Watcha gonna do about it?)

For conditioners, I have:
-American Cream (which to me, smells like Strawberry Ice Cream and love and happiness. And it conditions my hair well)
-Jungle (which is a solid conditioner and took a use or two to get used to. But it does its job, smells very nice (I LOVE it with Tramp), and if it lasts as long as the solid shampoos do, it's also cheap by Lush standards. I got this a couple week ago, though and don't use it every day, so I don't really know how fast it gets used.
-Veganese (a nice, light conditioner with a nice, light lemony scent. I use it with CSS and Seanik, since those both add weight and overconditioning would make me look greasy)
