I was trying to figure out the significance! I think it is the chick from the bar.

This show to I was very disappointed with! And now there is a new grey/gray And mer and mcdreamy, one minute they are together the next they arent They should just get together and stay together already This whole episode was just dropping tonite and I am disappointed

If you all stop and think back to the episode before this one,Meredith's Dad said that his youngest Daugher was training to become a Dr. So, Meredith has a baby Sister now that will be working with her.
I cried over this episode.It was just sooooooooooooooo wrong!!!!
I want the Chief and his wife to adopt one/both of the babies.

I had voted that Christina and Preston would get married. Shows how much I know. . And yep, I think that probably is Meredith's sister. And personally I think Derek's name should be changed from "McDreamy" to "McJerky."

Can I just say that was about the most depressing season finale I think I've ever seen? (Not counting M*A*S*H series finale...) My gosh, can everyone's lives get any more hosed?

OMG, last nights show was so not good..I was bawling my eyes out for like a good 30 minutes after...That show is very grim, I don't know if I can take it anymore

I hate the finales..they always make them so heartwrenching.

ok i did it again i read more. im still waiting on season 3 which is sometime this month!! so far i know mer drowns but survies now i know they dont get married but i need the fix been waiting so long for the next season, i will have to get one of you to record season 4 and send them to me lol

LOL, no kidding.

I don't see this series lasting beyond another year with the way the stories are going. I used to be glued to the TV while this show was on, now I treat it like any other show on TV....background noise for while I'm doing other things and occasionally stop to watch for a minute or two before carrying on doing whatever I was doing.

I "knew" that the wedding wasn't going to happen. I believe that this is their out to write Preston out of the show because of Isaiah Washington's outburst against TR Knight, earlier this year. And there has been tension on the set because of it ever since. His rehashing it at the Emmy's didn't win him any friends either. I also see at IMDb that he's scheduled to be in a movie that is in pre-production. So Burke is gone.

So far as TR Knight goes, I have no clue what they are doing with his storyline. There have been rumours that he's leaving the show, but now I hear that he isn't. I do know that if you fail your intern exams that there are no second chances to write it. As was stated, he can either walk away or repeat his internship again. It looks to me like they've written the character into a corner. So far as future storylines for "George" go, I still think that he doesn't have any sexual/romantic chemistry with any of the women on the show and that they should write a story where George is struggling with his sexuality and in the end reveals that he's Gay. I've never felt that he had any chemistry with any of the women on the show, so I'm not saying this because he "came out" recently. I've always felt that "George" is Gay but hasn't admitted it to himself.

The Lexi Gray appearance seems weird to me. It's almost like a backup character in the event that Ellen Pompeo decides to leave the show for some reason. The show is called "Gray's Anatomy", and requires a "Gray" to be in it.

Overall a disappointing ending.

this is going to sound very cynical, but I am very cynical so here it goes: This show makes me wish there really were happy endings, especially for those folks that still believe in happy endings life sucks!!!

I was bawling at that part too..I bawled for a while even after that..

I still think Derek's being a jerk - I wouldn't be inclined to open up to him either, when the last thing he said was how she was holding him back and he can't breathe for her anymore, etcetera. After he'd slept with her, of course. Wouldn't make me feel all warm and trusting, either.

I think Christina was relieved too, as well she should be! Burke may be pompous and overbearing, but his mom is NUTS! With Burke leaving the apartment (HIS apartment, at that!), I wonder if IW is really leaving the show...?

So sad about George, I hope he does the program again, or something to keep him on the show! It wouldn't be the same without him, IMO.

No way Burke is gone! If they were going to write out Isaiah Washington, they would have said so at the time of the comments, not secretly done it at the end of the season. What kind of statement would that be? I heard that he just might not a raise like the rest of the cast. As far as it stands right now, he hasn't closed a deal, but his publicist claims they fully expect his return. Being in preproduction for another film means nothing. Tv actors often do films during the hiatus for their shows. I guess he could go, but I just don't see the point. If it was as a result of the comments he made, it should have been done then, not left until end of season....unless there was a contract issue. I'm not really sure whether or not I WANT him to be gone. I'm not very happy with Burke.

It was super depressing. But Shonda said she had to burn it all down so that she could build it up again, and she mentioned the "fun" being back next season, so I'm hoping it'll be better next year.
