First time dealing with fleas

Thread Starter
The vet found a few fleas on my indoor cat today, it all appears to be in the very early stages as he didn't find many and didn't seem overly concerned. She got a shot and a dose of Frontline and I'm not letting her sit in the open window anymore!
Question though: Should I be concerned about my bedding/carpet/etc? As luck would have it, I'm staying at my parents for a few weeks and feel terrible about bringing fleas into the house. (Fortunately she only stays in a couple rooms, but that includes my bedroom)
Thanks!

First of all you will have to use the Frontline each month, I use Advantage for my Misty and she does very well with it. She still sits at the open window, I believe I brought in the fleas while outside, it can very well happen. I wouldn't worry about the rest of the house just yet, if you see anthing jumping around or you get bites on your ankles, you'll know you have them. But if your kitty only had a couple, the house may still be safe. Good luck. By the way Misty has not had fleas in many years since using the Advantage.
