Oh dear lord we are having a bit of a kitty crisis at the moment. DH collects vintage Playboy's and we have them neatly stacked in our book case. Well I came home today and Scratch had a colorful piece of paper sticking to him. After I wondered into the computer room I saw it. He's demolished three of them!

DH is going to be SO mad at him when he gets home. I've locked the rest up and have been doing internet searches on how to find replacements.

Oh man...

Call the magazine publisher (most of them are really friendly and will help you out when you're looking for a back order) sometimes you can pay a little extra and special order them or ask for a reprint. Since it's vintage it might be a bit more difficult- but it's worth a shot!! In the future though- i'd put them in a more secure location though so the kitty's don't look at porn anymore

Maybe Scratch is morally opposed to porn?

edit: or it is time to get him some magazines of his own with girl kitties

That was my fault... I thought they looked nice out in the book shelf, and Scratch had never bothered them before.

I told him, and he was mildly upset, but then he realized we could go to yard sales and flea markets to find replacements. He loves doing that.

The good news is the really expensive vintage ones are in storage at a friend's house, so really all he destroyed were some ones that DH was going to let me use for decorating purposes. I really dodged the bullet on this one!

Is no one concerned about the effect looking at "those things" will have on Scratch?

Oh yeah! He seemed proud of it too! It was quite cute. Scratch just waltzed in after I gasped and laid down in the pile of shredded pictures.

The good news is that it's impossible to be mad at him for longer than five minutes. He's just too cute and loving.

Oh, um... well... shucks...

We were going to frame some of them and put them in the "game" room. Also, when we bought a house some of them were going to be used to decorate a table along with some vintage 50's cheesecake pics that I've had copied and stored.

One of the best ideas that I have is I've been collecting old comic books that aren't worth anything and I'm going to wall paper a wall with them. We also have a friend who is an artist who is going to help out as well....

Let's just say that my taste in things is on the odd side...

I know it can sound tacky, but I really want my husband to have "his" space. I like to deck it out in stuff that he likes to look at like 50's pin ups, comic books, video games, and this quirky pop art stuff.
