I'm working on the computer. Sam is behind me, trying to get my attention to play. I hear him batting something around really enthusiastically. It's a quarter. That's a lot cheaper than all of his other toys.

I'm going to send him out to the neighbours to see what he might bring home. Could help with Christmas shopping.

Movin' on up!
We can't leave change laying around, either. Rowdy will steal it. Bill says that he wouldn't mind her eating pennies, if she'd excrete (my word) quarters.

That's too funny!

Speaking of cheap cat toys, Nakita has a new favourite. You know the frozen juice concentrate containers? When you open them you have that thick piece of plastic liner that seals the lid.

That is her toy of the day!

It's not really a toy, but Trent has a new thing that keeps him occupied. Our old washer bit it so the landlords replaced it with a new one. For some reason, Trent is amazed by the new washer. He's seen them before and never taken any notice of them. This one, though, he will sit in front of it and watch it for almost the whole cycle. It's like Cat TV!

Oh my goodness! I already know what kind of "present" I would find if I sent Snowball outside!!!!

And speaking of cat toys... besides Snowball, we used to have another cat who has now gone to the Rainbow Bridge. One day I wanted to use my computer but I couldn't find my electronic mouse anywhere. I finally found it sitting in the windowsill where the cats had been playing with it!

LOL

Suki loves playing with the large pieces of polystyrene you get in packaging. You blow it and she runs after it like a cat out of hell. I don't like her doing it because it could swallowed so we now use string.

Cats always find some fun entertainment, usually the last thing you'll expect
