i stamp, and make cat collars, scrap, knit, paint. . . . .

rosaries though - that sounds really neat - - - - - what exactly do you have to do? is there a specific length, or a blessing, or colors, etc. you have to do?

Reading, surfing the net (reading news, and browsing TCS, checking email, etc), watching movies, going for walks, and keeping up with football (not necessarily by choice all the time, my fiance' is obsessed!)

I mainly read (every week I'm at the library), search the newspaper archives, write, take pictures, and collect Brownie Hawkeye cameras.

Ah, great question! I love to...

...Design houses and other kinds of buildings, either with graph paper or in Illustrator. When I get a design I really love, I'll even landscape and furnish it, right down to designing the textiles on the furniture. I've done this ever since I was about 12. Like George Costanza, "I've always wanted to pretend to be an architect."

...Make stuff out of garage sale items and castoffs -- like padded footstools made from old wineboxes or cheeseboxes, fancy frames made by gluing heavy lace trim to a 29-cent Goodwill frame and then painting and antiquing it... I really enjoy taking things that people think are useless and making them live again!

...Make jewelry -- mostly offloom needleweaving with beads, but also wirework and plain old stringing. Oh, and ddcats -- I made a rosary once, too, for my father. He has a very, very old wooden cross banded in silver that was given to his mother by an elderly neighbor when she was a child, which would have been in the late 1800s... and the cross looks exactly like the ones given out some decades earlier by a priest (French, I think) who ministered to certain American Indian tribes. My father thinks it may actually be one of those crosses, and he wished he had a rosary like the one the priest has in an old tintype... so I some carved wooden beads that looked right and used fine silver wire to make the tiny wrapped loops and put the whole thing together for him. It was such fun to make something with a special meaning like that.

...Play guitar and piano, sing my heart out whenever I'm in private, and write songs now and then.

...Read and read and read until I can't keep my eyes open anymore.

...Dance. Not well, mind you, but when nobody's around and I'm feeling good and I have the right kind of shoes on, I love to do a little tap, a little softshoe... now and then a little Bob Fosse, though he'd pirouette in his grave if he saw someone my size trying to strike one of his poses!

I read a lot, and also do flower arrangements, artificial flowers and I always try to add something unusual to the arrangement as interesting focal point. Also I have a passion for really bad B rated horror movies.

I have time for hobbies?! I didn't know!

Haha, in all seriousness, I'm really into book and paper arts (think scrapbooks, but more "artsy"). I love running, biking, art and theatre (and music, although that's more how I make my money and less of a hobby), reading and I am a BATH CONNOISSEUR. Just ask Nikki (StarryEyedTiger).

Im a nerd. When Im not with my kids, David or the animals Im reading. I always get yelled at my David for not finishing my chores (yes he makes me list of chores to get done otherwise I wouldnt do anything) Ive got my nose in a book. Ive read every book I own atleast 4 times if not more. But I specifically collect Nora Roberts books. Her books are my passion!!!!!

Forgetful or not, and yes I am very forgetful, if my DH started making me lists I can tell you where they'd end up.

I make all sorts of things, if I can get my hands on the supplies and get an idea
Currently, I'm eyeing up some scrap pieces of copper my FIL gave me. It's so shiny! If I get some embossing tools I could make some neat stuff from it.

Reading, anything I can get a hold of, novels to physics stuff.
My reptiles, always learning more about them and doing stuff like planting the turtle pens.

Drawing and painting on practically anything.

Sewing, by hand and machine.

Make/build stuff, turtle hides/pen, scratching posts, boxes, shelves - whatever I need

Bead work, not as much as I used to
when I did, I did some loom work, jewelry, or anything that needed beads. I still collect any neat beads I come across.

I also like to make things out of wire.

Some weaving, simple stuff. Haven't done this in a while.

It really goes through the ink fast, but paper crafts are fun! This is when you print out a pattern, cut it out, then fold and glue it together. Sometimes into very complex 3D objects. I'm still angry that a couple of really neat cat patterns from a japanese cannon site are password protected
Someday I'll bother to crack them, they were supposed to be free patterns. Generally the best pattens are japanese with instructions in japanese.

Everyone is sooo talented here, even those who watch TV for a hobby.!
I really enjoyed reading all your posts. You are all so diverse and unique in your own way.

Here is a site that has instructions on rosary making. When I have time, I like to make them. So much to do and sooo little time.

Cat owners really are crafty!!!!

Many mentioned "cuddle" as a hobby, my pets are weird, they don't like to cuddle, or maybe they think I am weird and don't want to cuddle with me. Whatever!
