...Two DLH, gray sweeties, a fiesty girl and a handsome boy. Grover ( my boy) was adopted from the Mspca last week, about 1 1/2 years old. He is a hellion. I have a question. Why does he try to cover his food like he is burying it? Is that what he thinks of my cooking?

Welcome to the site!! Your two kitties sound gorgeous.

As for Grover's food burying, it isn't that he thinks your cooking is bad. LOL Actually, it is the opposite. Depending on his background, his mother cat may have taught him or it may just be instinctual. Almost all feral (wild) cats bury their food as a way to keep it safe until they are hungry again. He wants to make sure that no one else takes his food.

Thanks for the insight. He is afraid his food will be taken with good reason...his bunky is a glutton. She doesn't care what's in her dish...she just wants whats in yours.

G'day and welcome to the site

Look forward to seeing some pictures

Don't worry about the food burying thing...our 11 month old russian blue Orion does that (even did it when he was the only cat in the house). Now our 3 month old russian black Draco is starting to do it too (copying Orion I think...lol).
It's just their way of saying I've had enough for now and would like to keep it safe for later
