Is it ok for Marcie to eat spinach? I got some cat grass awhile ago but she made such a mess of it that I haven't got anymore for her. In the mornings, I make a spinach salad to take for my lunch and I almost always end up dropping a leaf or two on the Kitchen floor. Before I can pick it up, Marcie pounces on it and eats it like it is going out of style. I figured that it is probably ok and it might also be providing her with nutirents, but is it really ok, or should I discourage it?

A leaf or two now and then should be fine, it probably tastes better than the cat grass too.
Your cat certainly won't be eating enough of it for oxalates and goitrogens to be of concern. Just remember to wash it before you or your kitty eats any, even the "prewashed" bagged stuff can have traces of pesticides on it.

Leopold and Junior love spinach and lettuce. The only occasional problem I have is when Leopold tries to swallow a piece that's too big.
I think it's OK in moderation...the spinach, that is...not the barfing.

Tabitha LOVES spinach and lettuce and basically veggies of any kind. She'll actually turn down a piece of steak for a piece of lettuce!

Same thing with Sadie. But, her personal favs are raw green beans (but they must be fresh), romaine lettuce and spinanch.

I would say it should be safe as many cooked as well as raw foods have some of it

Well, I am glad to hear that I haven't been poisoning her by letting her eat the occasional dropped spinach leaf.
