As promised, here's our girl at the breeders. She's now eating dry puppy kibble, playing and romping around with her litter mates...apparently she's a talker, too.

I cannot believe how she's changed!!!!!!!!!! It's almost creepy!!!! Look at those long ears, people!!! We just adore her...all this waiting is painful!

OMG Wookie !!! She's incredible
What a beauty I wonder if her head will stay black. I had a male in one of my litters years ago and he looked like black Lacquer, she's going to be a beauty

No, she's just a month old. She's the biggest pup in the litter, and is about 7 or 8 lbs, I believe. The photos make the pups look larger than they are.

She DOES look older than a month! She's beautiful! A talker, huh? Bassets are the most talkative dogs I've ever known. I can't imagine not having a Basset in my life. Riley is constantly "talking" to us...it's like having a full blown conversation when he gets going. She's going to be a beautiful girl when she's grown..and if she's only a month in these pictures she may be a big girl too! Riley is on the smaller side...he's a bit over two years and weighs under 50 lbs.

Here's a picture of him from this past fall...

When we ever are able to become Basset parents, I'll have to share pics too.

Oh Lord is there anything cuter? Look how big her skin is!!!
And her ears!! **dies**

I just want to snatch that little one away for a big, prolonged lovin' session. You lucky thing! She's a doll. Gorgeous, gorgeous - and I love the name, too!

Awww what cute little wrinkles on her front legs! She's lovely, it must be agonising to wait until she can come home with you! I know nothing about dogs, what age can they leave mum?

Pups can leave mom at 8 weeks, which is a bit earlier than what is okay for kittens to leave their mommas. Dogs have a different socialization/learning timeline, and 8 weeks is when they begin to really learn from human interaction.

It's hard to believe that Rita's eating puppy kibble...at 4 weeks, most kittens are just getting started with weaning. So you can see the timeline is a bit different in developmental milestones.
