I love yours, so beautiful, and one of my fav knot choices. Are the cresents cresents or just accents to the overall design?

I like yours! The crescents are crescents, I drew my tattoo myself so everything is intentional. I recently found a leash for Zissou with the same knotwork on it actually! I was excited. My mom made me a stained glass of the center part for my high school graduation present of beveled glass. It's sort of a theme.

I often wondered where you had gone off to. Welcome back

Tattoo artists who will do something they don't think is a good idea are not the sort you want to put ink on your body. Any piece they do is representative of them, and if you do things that might not turn out well you are not going to last long. Oh- though the arch wouldn't be as bad as the rest. Though I can't imagine getting a tattoo there, it would bleed, tickle, and hurt like h-e-double hockey sticks.

As long as they only think it's a waste of my time and/or money, I'd be just as happy if they left that to my judgement. Obviously if they think it's a bad idea because they can't do it safely, then they have an obligation to refuse.

I wouldn't hold it as unprofessional that they were willing to let an informed costumer do something experiemental.

That's really neat. You should put up a pic of the collar and the stained glass as well if you have it.

Pain is just the body's way of letting the mind know that it's injured, to force you to slow down, evalute the injury, get help, whatever. If there is no injury, I guess you just deal with it and move on? It's not so bad.

after getting a few not so amazing tats i've learned very quickly to treasure the knowledge a good tattoo artist will lend you. BIGGER is better....lol, that little thing will eventually turn in a black blob when your older. here are some pics of my tats....i have 6 tattoos but 2 are incorporated in a band around my ankle.

my first tattoo gotten 2 months after my 18th b-day...yea it took me that long to build up the courage to say "Fu*k it" and just come home with it

my 2nd tattoo...i love this one its a bit blow out by flash but its the only pic i got...sorry

this little turtle was #3

and heres the artwork going around my ankle connected the little lizard to the turtle....on the back those are frogs and the heart on front. i love it even though it needs some touch up work.

this 5th one is dedicated to my grandma and grandpa. those are their initials on either side of the flower, i wish this one had a lil more spunk that just makes it pop....i'll be working on that

and last but not least, my zodiac sign done by an amazing artist, hes a keeper. there will be some return visits in the future.

and i CAN NOT forget about the 1 of my 6 piercings....my sweet 4g tongue.

Oh, yeah. Okay, now I get it. No, I think you're probably right that the arch of my foot could be a pretty uncomfortable place to get it, but, I'm not really sure how to put it... it doesn't bother me, I guess? I figure it's worth it?

It's just pain.

Hey! Here are the pictures of things that go with mine:

It would make pretty rainbows but I can't figure out how to hang it in the window without making my landlord unhappy.

You can't see how bright yellow the flipside is here but it's like neon.

I wrote a post but I don't know what happened to it...

When I said that you don't want someone who will do something they think is a bad idea, I meant more that if it won't heal right, will get distorted, that sort of thing, you wouldn't want someone who would do it anyway because they must not have a reputation to lose and just want your money.

Have you spoken to an artist about this yet? They may have lots of experience or have actual reasons why your sole might be a bad spot, or they might be able to figure out a perfect placement that will be okay. I'm just speculating.

Good luck!

Thanks hon, and no, I haven't talked to an artist yet. I wanted to be a bit surer of myself before I did that - this has helped

BTW? the ornament and the lead? Gorgeous.

That's why they're addictive... the one below took an hour, but a solid, constant hour. He estimated it would take 2 or 2.5, and we were both astounded it was done in an hour. At first the pain isn't so bad, but then the same area keeps getting it, and it hurts so bad you make them stop, but then you get this strange high feeling (endorphins I presume?) and nothing hurts anymore. That doesn't happen for me for at least a half hour solid...

Anything is worth the pain that you can enjoy your entire life! I hope you work this all out. I would love to see it when it's done!
