Here are the pictures, I set them on the scale and put my hand behind them for reference... I couldn't find a ruler. I forgot to resize them so I hope they're not too small. I'll post their picture along with the weights I got this morning.

"Red" - female - 2.3 ounces

"Blue" - female - 1.9 ounces

"Green" - female - 1.6 ounces

"Calico" - female - 2.0 ounces

"Tabby" - female - 2.3 ounces

"Romeo" - male - 3.1 ounces

"Hamlet" - male - 2.4 ounces

Well, after weighing at least 50 other objects on the new scale, we figured out that it weighs things inaccurately... everything is weighed as half of what the actual weight is. Not really sure why... unfortunately the auction stated "no returns", although it did say it worked accurately.
Anyway, based on the new information, the following are what the weights *should* have read.

Born 4/30/07
Kitten 1, "red female", first born - 6.6 ounces - 0.120 grams
Kitten 2, "blue female", second born - 3.8 ounces - 0.100 grams
Kitten 2, "green female", third born - 3.2 ounces - 0.090 grams

Born 5/1/07
Kitten 3, "calico female", fourth born - 4.0 ounces - 0.110 grams
Kitten 4, "tabby male", fifth born - 4.6 ounces - 0.130 grams

Born 4/28/07 - former bottle babies that Sasha adopted
Kitten 1, "Romeo" - 6.2 ounces - 0.170 grams
Kitten 2, "Hamlet" - 4.8 ounces - 0.130 grams

just 1 quick thing though , with the grams why is kitten 1 less grams then hamlet? but more in oz?
also i would keep an eye on kitten 2 and kitten 3 as they are still normal birth weight

Sorry, typo on my part... she was supposed to be 4.6 ounces, not 6.6.

did they have a nice layer of fur all over them?
They did, they're not quite as fuzzy as the "bottle babies" were at the same age but I just figured it was a genetics thing.

What a bummer that your new scale is playing up. The new weights you posted are better but still a concern. In their pics, the kittens look quite active, but thin. Keep up with the high-calorie program and the supplementation and you should see a steady increase in their weights over the next week or so. If you're on talking terms with your neighbors, perhaps ask if you can borrow their scale. You could also go to a drugstore, doctor's surgery or vet and ask if you can use the scales (the little ones designed for weighing things less than about 5 pounds).

Thanks. I have been supplementing them and mom with the KMR. Hamlet & Romeo remembered their bottle and had no problems, the others were a little slow figuring out what they were supposed to do with it because they're used to mom but they're getting the hang of it.
Even though the scale isn't accurate, it's consistant every time... so I figure I can keep weighing them and at least see if they are gaining even though I won't know what their weight actually is. The closest vet with one of those small scales is about 45 minutes away so going there every day is just out of the question. The closer vets are all large animal vets so they don't have anything like that. We have a regular bathroom scale somewhere on the property, I just have to find it... we moved into a new house so everything is stored in horse trailers and the barn, I haven't found the scale yet but I have a general idea of where it is. I know it's accurate but can't remember how it weighs (ounces/pounds or grams or whatever). It's not digital though.
My boyfriend told me that one of the neighbors used to have a postal scale that worked but he may have thrown it out when he was getting rid of stuff... I'll have to check with him today.

With the closer vets only seeing larger animals, remember that medications, fluids, supplements and other things have to be weighed in often very small amounts, so it might be worth ringing and asking.

Just a quick update... took their weights again, I know the scale may not be accurate, but like I said, it is consistant. Here are the results I just got a couple minutes ago (I already doubled to get the correct weight).

"Red" - 4.8 ounces - 130 grams - gained .2 ounces/10 grams
"Blue" - 4.0 ounces - 110 grams - gained .2 ounces/10 grams
"Green" - 3.2 ounces - 90 grams - no gain
"Calico" - 4.2 ounces - 120 grams - gained .2 ounces/10 grams
"Tabby" - 4.8 ounces - 130 grams - gained .2 ounces/0 grams (not sure why it didn't show a gain through grams)
"Romeo" - 6.6 ounces - 180 grams - gained .4 ounces/10 grams
"Hamlet" - 5.2 ounces - 140 grams - gained .4 ounces/10 grams

So since yesterday they have all gained except for "Green Baby". I obviously need to continue supplementing her. But do all the others seem like they're gaining enough per day?

For those babies, a 10g gain is great.

Remember to weigh at the same time each day, so you get exactly 24 hours between weigh-ins. Because we're dealing with such tiny weights, one big wee or poop can cause a kitten to lose almost 10g, so don't be too concerned about green. What you're looking for is a general gain over about 3-4 days.
