Hey everyone,

I know I've been a bit absent from this forum, but it's been very difficult to keep up with everything between finishing up my last semester at college, getting everything ready for graduation, job hunting, and everything in between! I'll be on much more frequently when all this craziness is over!

I'm writing because I need major vibes this Thursday for my girl, Abby. She's the one who has been having all kinds of irritable bowel issues for a few years. She lost a dramatic amount of weight all of a sudden, for no reason, and all of her bloodwork came back completely normal. So she's going in on Thursday to have exploratory surgery in order to make sure that there's nothing else going on inside of her that we can't otherwise see. (IE: A blockage, tumor, cancer, etc.) I'm so worried and nervous for my poor baby! I mean, it'll be nice to finally have a definite answer as to whether or not she really is ok, because it's all just been speculation up until this point. But at the same time, it's pretty nerve-wracking. And I absolutely hate leaving her there. I love my vet and everyone who works there, and I know they'll take excellent care of her, but I still hate having to leave her. She'll be there overnight and, if all goes as expected, she should be coming back home on Friday.

So, major vibes needed!!! Thank you and I will let you all know how it turns out.

Thanks everyone. It really is so nice to have a forum like this, I'm so happy I came across it! It helps just knowing that you have others to talk to who know exactly what you're going though. Tomorrow's the big day so I will let you all know how it goes. Thanks again.

So as you know, my baby had exploratory surgery today. The surgery went ok. They have to keep her overnight of course, but she should be able to come home tomorrow, barring that everything goes well throughout the day/night. Nothing much was found. There were no tumors or blockages. Which is good. But her liver was somewhat enlarged which is a concern. So they took biopsies of her liver, intenstines, etc, which all have to be sent out for testing, so we still won't know much of anything for a while. When we do know more, I'll let you all know. I just want to thank you all for the support you have given me throughout this. It's been 2 weeks since we set the appointment up for the surgery, so I'm just relieved that it's finally almost over and we can finally be positively sure about whether or not she is going to be ok, after a few years now of plain speculation. It's been too much worrying and wondering up until this point and hopefully everything will come back a-ok. Thanks again, I truly appreciate everything.

I'm glad nothing major was found. I hope your baby Abby comes out with a clean bill of health...and I do hope that if a diagnosis is made, it is nothing serious and easy to fix.

Lots of ((((((((((((((((((vibes)))))))))))))))))) for you and Abby.
