My 11 year old neutered cat, Bounce, who has a very quiet disposition, has begun a strange habit in the last few weeks. On a certain blanket, on a certain couch, when I sit with him, he begins to knead the blanket vigorously, rear in the air, penis completely exposed and erect, until a quiver occurs and then lots of genital licking.
For some background info-Bounce lost his brother almost a year age. Six weeks later, we brought an 8 week old kitten into the family and went through the gradual introduction process, etc. The new kitten quickly showed himself to be quite dominant and Bounce returned to the position he had assumed for many years with his brother-the cat who is always being attacked, playfully.
I welcome any constructive thoughts, hypotheses, suggestions, etc.
