Our old guy, Oberon needs a geriatric urinalysis done. I'm hoping to save him the stress of having the sample collected at the cat hospital.

He pees in the exact same spot of our litter box, and never covers it up. Does anybody have an tips/ideas how I could get a specimen?

Oberon says, "Thanks for your help."

Aww... Oberon is a beautiful boy! I don't have any ideas except maybe leaving the litterl box empty. Since he doesn't burry maybe he won't mind going in an empty box. Make sure it's good and clean then "pour" the uring into your sample recepticle.

You have to confine him to a cage/bathroom with an empty litter pan or one with only a little bit of litter - where when he peed you'd still have some liquid to get.

Drain the liquid into a cup and seal it in a plastic bag and take to the vet.
