Oh Ari!
PLEASE come home!!!! We miss you!

Jan, I would go buy some KFC and try and tempt him with the smell. Humongous hugs from our group that he comes home.

Me too!
Like others have said, I would think he's still close by, just too scared to move.

Like the others have said, since he's never been out before he probably is hiding in plain sight and just to scared to come out.

Come home soon little man, your Mommy is very worried about you.
Jan, something very similiar happened to us many years ago. We left an outside porch door slightly open over night, and the cat crept back inside during the early quite hours of the morning. IMO, Aristotle is most likely to be out moving around when it's really quite and still, so if you can provide a place where he can go and feel safe and secure, you might be able to get him back... I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Aristotle's safe return home and sending you lots of good luck vibes!!!
Lets us know what happens!!!!!

I agree with the others that he is probably scared and close by-you did a room by room check?? Shake the cat food bag?? Call for him with your best calming voice so he isn't more scared. Sending you lots of come on home vibes to you......

Jan, I'm just seeing this now. I'm sending prayers and "finding Ari" vibes to you. I don't know what else to say except try to stay calm (easier said than done I know).

No sign, yet. Checked the weeds under the window and he's not there. There's a large briar bush south of the house. I drove by (our yard is big enough I can do that) and called.

Checked the highway.

Even opened the door to the basement in case he found a way down there.

The problem with leaving the window or the back door open is that Topaz would get out. She's more outdoor savvy (she was a stray) but I'd still worry.

I'm trying to keep optimistic, but it's so hard.

(Thank you, Susan, for moving this thread.)

Can you close Topaz in an interior room to leave windows/doors open?

Have you put a box w/ used litter outside? What about Ari's favorite food?
