Hello all,

I've just joined and this section of the forums seemed to be the best place to make introductions. I am the mother of two wonderful kiddos (human ones that is) and we also live with Riley the Basset Hound, Paploo the Kelpie/Mix, Lando the Lab/Mix, Owen the Tabby and Beru the Ferret. Our home is..umm...crazy! But we love it. I'm a stay at home mom so I have the time to spend taking care of all of the creatures of the four legged kind that live here with us. I'll go ahead and post links to pictures of all of the animals that live here. I hope to one day own enough land to start an animal foster care program of my own...to my poor husbands dismay! We are also feeding a little stray female kitty that's been coming around for the past month. My husband calls her..."Tight-neck"..horrid name for a cat but there's a reason for it. When she first started coming around she had on a crusty, nast old flea collar that looked far too tight on her. It took me over two weeks to get her to trust me enough to take it off of her..I got whacked a couple of times but she finally let me remove it.

"TIGHT-NECK" the little stray.

They are all so beautiuful! Poor little tight neck. Looks like she still needs to grow into those feet. Any plans of keeping her around? She's so pretty.

Welcome to TCS!

Welcome to TCS!
Thank you for the compliment! And yes she does need to grow into those feet, I keep noticing how big those paws look on her. As far as keeping her around...I do want to. My husband was another story until he was the first to be able to pet her...we really do have a house full and a small home. However last night as we were outside with the kitty my husband was saying that if she was going to come inside she'd need a bath and flea treatments. Which shocked me! I suppose this means he's been thinking of her coming inside too....yay! Poor guy keeps saying there are too many pets..and then I come along with another. I think we can find room for one more though
. So, my next step is to get her to the vet, have her wormed and vaccinated and I hope they'll be able to bathe her for the first time too. She's skittish and I would really love to keep my fingers intact. Then we have to get her a new name!! Who ever heard of calling a beautiful female cat, "Tight-Neck"? We'll work on that though.

One question..I have an intact male cat..he's about a year and a half and I do plan on having him fixed....however we had a horrible experience with getting one of my dogs fixed and I've been wary since. I know that logically my cat will be fine...but I digress. I'm a little worried about my male marking around the house when I bring the little female in. I'm thinking that tends to happen more if you bring another male in...is this correct?
