Paris Hilton get 45 days

Thread Starter
So heres the BBC story on it Paris gets 45 days

This bit totally killed me ......

I'm very sorry and from now on I'm going to pay complete attention to everything

HUH ! do you think she will ever pay attention to little things like laws etc - I really hope that her time will teach her some lessons, but I'm sure she'll just make a load more money out of it by writing a book

She knew exatly what she was doing. Her family (and her) having money doesn't chance the fact that she's still trash.

lol the only bad part is they are not going to put in her in gerneral population.
now that would make a great TV show.

but oh well i under they cant cause as someone on the news said it was for her own safety

Place your bets...place your bets!! Paris Hilton released within 72 hours on "shock probation" or "released pending appeal"...

Any takers??

eheh no way,
but i really i dont think so, she pissed off the judge, showing up late,
and they said her mother had be told to shutup , so they may not let her out early..

man i hope they feed her in there, the girl could use some meat on her bones

According to the article, that I read, she's going to be eating a lot of chicken - the jail doesn't serve any beef or pork products and only one meal a day is a hot one.

She's getting harsher treatment, than Diana Ross did, when SHE was busted for DUI in Tucson. Ross got to do her time in a jail, near her Connecticut home. She was allowed out, during the day and had her meals catered.

I don't feel sorry for her for one bit. She's getting exactly what she's always asked for, and is being treated like a "regular" person.

I hope she learns from this.
The judge DID treat her like any other person! I'm glad. It's about time that celebs/ rich people aren't above the law. What kind of message does that send?
She's so disgusting thinking she can just get by with anything,, I hope they keep her in the regular jail not some country club Put her in there with all kinds of weirdos
post #10 of 66
This might be the best thing that ever happens to her. Seriously, if she has to spend a little time without tiny dogs and smooth boyfriends and diamond-encrusted cell phones... maybe she will realize that she wants to do something more with her life than party.

Then again maybe she'll just go nuts.

According to a discussion I saw on tv today, she will most likely not serve the sentence. The jails in LA County are so overcrowded, they expect that when she shows up she will be sent home. They said she might be there on weekends, if at all.

They also mentioned that her mother made a complete ASS of herself in court. She was rude, even asked for the judge's autograph cause she said he was 'trying to be a celebrity, getting his 15 minutes of fame."

I couldn't agree more. She broke the law- now she should have to pay for it! It infuriates me that just because she's "famous" she thinks she can get a free ride through life without ever having to answer for anything she's done- people die every single day due to dui's and other similar things that are PREVENTABLE. Some people need common sense! I hope this straightens her out, but i doubt it.

Sometimes there is no helping complete arrogant celebrity bimbos/himbos that just live on a different planet to the rest of us. They will think they are above the law and every one else..always.

All publicity is good publicity when it comes to the likes of Paris Hilton. She will get more money, more fame and not learn a thing from all of this..whether she serves the sentence or not.

Sickens me...they become alcoholics and criminals and they get more fame.
She's a disgusting piece of trash and I couldn't be happier that this has happened to her.

The thing is, she won't learn from it, she'll think she's being made a scapegoat because she's famous - it won't actually sink in that she's being punished for something she's done wrong, she suffering consequences to her actions. Oh no, the judge just wants to be famous

IMO, Paris's mother is the person to blame for everything Paris does, is and has grown up to be. If that isn't a woman who wants her 15 minutes nobody does. I watched a documentary on the Hiltons and her parenting left a lot to be desired. That is the only shred of sympathy I have for Paris.

If I went out and got drunk at the wheel and then was found to be driving again the sentence I would face in the UK would be at least a few months. It upsets me that 45 days is such a lenient sentence- if Paris Hilton had killed someone then perhaps she would have gotten a suitable sentence rather than this 'joke'
"Ms Hilton was sentenced to three years' probation, fined $1,150 (£582), and lost her licence at the end of January after pleading no contest to a drink driving charge in September. "

Like she really cares if she has to pay $1,150- she probably carries that on her in cash! LOL

"The socialite said she did not know her licence had been suspended when caught driving without headlights in February."

Why doesn't sweet Ms. Paris Hilton have a frickin' driver?

""To sentence Paris Hilton to 45 days in jail to me was uncalled for, inappropriate and bordered on the ludicrous. I think she was singled out because she's who she is," Howard Weitzman said. "

HA HA HA HA HA!

**Just goes to show-- noone is perfect....no matter how much $$$$ you got!

She didn't know her license was suspended. Yeah. Right.

I got a kick out of reading about Mama Hilton's histrionics in the courtroom.

Yea they were talking about ths on the radio this morning. They read the report from the courthouse and she stated that other people read this stuff and she just signs off on it. So IMO that tells me that she doesn't know how to read

Anyway, seriously, she's such an idiot that I'm glad they're throwing her in jail. I may even send her soap on a rope.
I suspect she'll find a way to wriggle out of thise, but I hope not. She deserves to go to prison. Didn't know her licence was suspended? What an idiot.
I'm glad they are actually treating her like they would a normal person and not letting her off. Hope she doesn't get ot of it somehow!

Supposedly the judge was going to let her off...until she showed up 20 minutes late for the hearing.
The said on the radio this morning that she was going to appeal. Come on Paris - take it like a man!

They were discussing this on The View and Barbara Walters indicated that she wasn't even sure Paris has a high school diploma.
Gee...I wish I were famous for...being famous???

What the heck is it that Paris DOES, other than be rich and spend Pappy Hilton's money, and party???

Oh, and another thing. If I had that much dough, I'd look like a leggy front-end-of-a-ship too.

ANYWAY, I digress.

If she does spend any time in the clink, I hope she becomes the wife of one of the most lumber-jackish female inmates in there. THAT would entertain me.

Wouldn't surprise me

I just wanted to state that I work in the auto insurance industry and know for a fact that many people, many many people, can get 2 duis and not go to jail. Also know that many people are caught driving on suspension (more than once) and never go to jail, just get their suspension extended or in extreme circumstances (prior record) get house arrest. I don't know if the laws are different in LA, but it does seem like they are trying to make an example of her, OR that they are being very harsh to avoid being blamed for going too easy on her.

I don't think she should go to jail. That's ridiculous. It's insane that the legal system is wasting all of this on her with all the other troubles in the world, and it's stupid that everyone's so happy about it. I mean seriously, I don't know her personally, her reputation isn't the best, but who the heck am I to judge a person's worth. And if she didn't graduate highschool, then I really feel sorry for her more than anything.
