I learned recently that more than twice as many homeless cats in California are euthanized than dogs.

Because of that, and if you live in the KABC-TV (Channel 7) viewing area for the greater Los Angeles area, you might be interested in the following. On Thursdays, usually at about 11:30 am, the station's "Eyewitness News" reporter Garth Kemp hosts a pet adoption segment during the weather report. But only dogs are ever mentioned or shown, and there's no emphasis on pet neutering to solve the serious pet overpopulation problem.

Since there's twice the need for cat adoption, out of fairness it seems that KABC should promote cat adoption at least as much as dog adoption. And the station should strongly promote pet neutering.
