One of my friends wants to switch her girl to this food, and I know nothing about it.

I visited the website, and the marketing sounds REALLY GOOD!

But is it true?

A Beautiful Coat.
* A sleek silhouette is beautiful and also a reflection of your cat's good health.
* Nothing is more attractive than a cat with a glossy coat. The coat color is determined by the presence of melanin in the hair. Special nutrients can help to reveal all its beauty.
* Almost constant shedding in indoor cats puts a permanent strain on the skin's metabolism. The coat and skin use up to 30% of dietary protein to renew and to maintain suppleness and gloss.

NATURAL COLOR FORCE
An exclusive nutrient system that enhances the intensity of the hair's natural pigmentation leaving your cat more beautiful than ever.

HAIRBALL MICRO-NUTRITION
A combination of targeted micro-nutrients (vitamins, essential fatty acids, amino acids, chelated trace elements), in just the right quantities to nourish the coat.

YOUTH COMPLEX 600/300
A complex of synergistic antioxidants (green tea polyphenols and high concentrations of vitamins E & C) that helps keep your can young by combating the attack of free radicals responsible for cellular damage.

OPTIMAL CALORIE CONTROL
Provides an ideal balance between the food's energy supply and your cat's energy expenditure, in relation to its lifestyle and level of activity.

TARTAR CONTROL
Improves oral hygiene by reducing the occurrence of tartar deposits on your cat's teeth.

HAIRBALL SYSTEM
Stimulates the elimination of hairs from the intestines and reduces the risk of hairball formation.

I believe GoldenKitty45 may be feeding this. Check with her. If it is indeed this food, she swears by it.

*nods* that is what I thought, marketing people sure do make things sound good.

I wonder which ingredients they refer to for intensifying the pigmentation of kitty's coats.

thanks sharky,

i guess ill just recommend her to feed felidae or one of the innova lines.
i don't think her girl has any allergy issues.

i think the main thing for her is to get away from the mentality that whats priced the highest is not necessarily the best in the pet store.
