Hello,

My 1 year old cat palate is blown. He just came in and I saw it.

What the reason may be?

Sorry for my bad English.

It's outside on his face.

Not before ~30 hours.

Does the swollen wound smell bad?

My guess would be an abcess...an infection from a bite (usually a cat fight). The best treatment is to have a vet clean the wound and provide some antibiotics.

Maybe a moderator could move this to the health forum.

No, there is no wounds at all. He is a very peaceful guy. He has never been in fight before.

Maybe because people putting some stuff on their gardens?

Most importantly, is it dangerous?

I don't know what it is...that's the problem.
So I don't know how dangerous it is.

Is it swollen on one side only?

Until you can see the vet, keep him calm and quiet. Don't let him go outside and make sure he is eating and drinking. Keep a close eye on him. Watch for any problems he might have with breathing.
