How uncomfortable does your cat make you when sleeping?

I think it's so nice that your cat sleeps with you! My two cats rarely get on the bed (their choice). I've got two cat beds on the floor and most of the time Anya will sleep in one but Chloe usually prefers the top of her cat tree.

I'd love it mine would sleep with me, even occasionally, but oh well, I love them anyway!

Wow! You guys get worse tortitude then I get! Summer likes to complain. Before we got Chevy, she would pace the living room, pull her ears back, and "yell" at us in the loudest high pitched meows she could muster for about 10 minutes if we were gone for more than 3 hours. She still does this when we go away overnight or for a weekend, only she does it for about 15- 20 minutes.
We also get a yelling meow or two when we move her, take something away, etc.

She hasn't bitten or swiped at us, but she sure does "yell" at Chevy while swiping, if he sneaks up on her. She only growls and hisses when she's around stange cats. She's the queen and she knows it!

OMG!!! This thread is making me spew my wine!

This picture drawing thing is a bit more difficult than I thought it would be. Maybe it's the wine. Maybe it's because I'm not very artistic. Or both.

Notice how all three girls can sleep on the same bed, but are strategically placed so they never have to come into physical contact with each other. Believe me, this is by design.

What are you guys using to make your sketches??
I guess I should count myself very fortunate. Lexi is the only cat that sleeps with me. The other three will sleep in my parent's bed or in that room.
You have to imagine this...it's pretty funny. I have a twin size bed and lexi has her little bed which sits ON top of my bed at the bed end. Well, most of the time she is in her bed, but sometimes I'll wake up and call her or move her over and I normally lay on my side. She will curl up right next to me, flop down, stretch out, and start purring. This is a nightly ritual. She also has no issues with being covered up. I normally just put my arm right over her and can hug her like a teddy bear. I feel blessed to have her...now the only thing she does that I hate is to get back on the bed, she decided to have to jump up over my pillow instead of the foot of the bed.
It wakes me up each time.
You guys have some great sketches!!
What we do for a kitties is amazing.

Scratch sleeps where Trout does (on top of the covers too), but usually on the beanbag. Squee sleeps to my right and is usually under the covers.

This thread is too funny!!! I'm not even good at stick figures, but hopefully you get the idea here. Not all the cats sleep with us so there are some missing.

The dogs sleep conveniently on the floor so that if you have to step out of bed at night, you usually step on them.

I sleep on my side so its hard for them to sleep between my legs. Scarlett sleeps under covers under my arm. Koko sleeps between my DH's legs. Stumpy is usually in between us. Spanky sleeps on my legs. The rest land where they are comfortable. I'd guess that we have up to 8 in bed with us at night, thus the reason the dogs are not allowed on the bed.

In case you can't tell, I'm on the right.

There was actually a time long ago when we'd let 11 cats and 5 dogs sleep with us. The dogs ranged from 50-100 pounds so they were not small.

And the kicker is.....I didn't include all of the toys that Maggie and Lola bring onto the bed every night. I usually sit up, grab the toy, stuff it under the pillow, and go back to sleep. Sometimes I end up with a half dozen toys under my pillow in the morning!!!

well here, I usually have at least one of the furbabies in bed with me at some point during the night. They both like to sleep on top of the covers, but off to one side, so I only get half the bad to turn on. I have to be careful not too roll too far or I am on them. They kinda act like a speed bump for me.

had likes to either sleep in between my legs, in the major space my body is not taking up, or up against my leg. that is, if jake isn't here. then she likes to sleep on the chair. i think i am gonna take the top off my cat carrier, put blankets in it and move it so so she will sleep on it. if i put it in jake's chair she will sleep on it when jake comes back. she would, given a choice, still try to sleep on the bed but she has a bubble, jake moves too much, and he doesn't like her on the bed while we are trying to sleep. i'm so glad she is here again, i missed looking and watching her. she's so pretty and graceful.

Here's mine! I'm the one being pushed into the middle of the bed by Sonic. If I try to turn over (or, god forbid, move back to my side of the bed!) in the night he grabs my hair and complains loudly. Note that I have depicted his front claws at the ready in case I move.
I always wake up aching. Radar sleeps in the sitting room because he doesn't understand that the bed-mice game isn't supposed to draw blood.

ETA: Actually that picture doesn't do it justice. Sonic has to make sure that either the pillow is over my nose and mouth, or that he is. Nate has to be nearly falling off his side of the bed. My picture makes it look way too roomy. How a 6 month old kitten can make a king-size bed diminish to the size of a matchbox is beyond me

It's their Ego that takes up all the space.

With a twin size bed mine have learned to take up whatever space is available. Sometimes Ari will be alongside my legs or up by my head. On rare occasions, Topaz will grace me with her prescence and lie by my head. The worst is when Ari lays on my arm to look out the window and cuts off circulation.

Lucy will do that every once in awhile; It is almost as if she wants to suffocate me.

Okay, I don't have access to paint at work, but I'll do my best for a description.

1. We sleep in a full.
2. There are three boys.
3. There is ONE husband.

It's 11pm and I decided it's time to go to bed. Dr Claw will follow me in and sleep between my legs. Roughly around 11:30pm 8-Bit will join us. He will sleep next to me. Somewhere between 11:45 and midnight DH will wonder in and take up his side of the bed. Notice how there are two kitties and one husband. 1am hits and Scratch decides he wants to be a part of the process. Now, the laws of physics still apply, so Scratch doesn't have a ton of room. He'll sleep somewhere around our heads. This is where it gets tricky. Around 2am I have to pee and if I move I disrupt this peaceful unit, but my bladder is always going to protest. So when I get up all three boys take up my spot. It then takes me about 10-20 minutes to get them all sorted out.

I did a pic! Usually. Bumps will smack them off the bed and it is just him curled up beside me but on the occasions where he does let them on the bed, it is like this:

Magnum starts at the bottom of the bed and works his way up through the night

Scully sleeps with his head on my hair and his butt half on the bedside table

The funniest part of the whole thing is the arrow that you drew for Mags!

Oh, and that your kitties are the proper colors!

You have a great talent sweetie!
