How uncomfortable does your cat make you when sleeping?

I've got a 100 lb dog & a 50 lb dog. They don't sleep on the bed much because they prefer to sleep on me on the bed, not just on the bed!

So, I wake up all stiff and sore

Where do your kits sleep?
Thats about how Wickett sleep on me too. Frankie usually doesn't bother but if she does she lays on my torso... doesn't matter which side... and say she's on my chest and I roll onto my side... she hangs on for dear life then settles in on my other side! Wickett curls up between my legs when I lay down on my back but I can't sleep that way so when I roll to my side (providing Frankie isn't in bed) he'll then sit in front of me and flop over my side. I'd make a diagram but I'm not sure I can.

ETA: What I LOVE is that we have a king size bed but for some reason everyone wants to be on my side of the bed (Matt included) and touching or laying on me!

When Princess calms down enough before bed to be allowed in the bedroom, after about 30 minutes of pouncing on feet that are under the blankets, she will settle down right in between my husband and I, near our pillows.. lol. She is supposed to look curled up in this scetch..

That is exactly what happens here too. DH, the cats are always on my side with half of the bed empty.

Summer has been described as a Tortie, but I believe her proper description is torbie, since she has stripes. She also likes to sleep where Trout does. Chevy usually sleeps by my back, no matter which way I'm facing. I don't want to disturb Summer (who usually finds her place first) or crush Chevy, so I stay put. Sometimes Summer likes to sleep on Scott's torso too.

Do your cats have the "Tortie-tude" (where they seem to have an opinion on everything, and will tell you exactly what their opinion is! They can also be one of the swetest cats you've ever known?) Summer definitely does!!!

Nikita does it sometimes. Never throughout an entire night though, I think I probably move and she gets annoyed.

Sometimes she sleeps in her cat carrier, especially if she's pissed off at me, but usually she sleeps either on the other pillow (I sleep alone in a double bed) or pressed against my legs. It's really nice to go to sleep with the heavy warmth of a cat next to you I think.

Tortietude: That bit of spunk and attitude that makes tortoiseshell cats so unique and endearing. While very charming and lovable when calm, torties also tend to be high-strung, easily riled up, and prone to overreact. Me too.

That's the definition, and TOTALLY Summer's personality!

Thread un-hijacked.

Ping sleeps like that sometimes and then gets mad when I move. Sometimes he is snug against my bum gets mad when I move. Plastered against my leg. One time he went to sleep on hubby's hip. He dug his claws in everytime hubby moved in an attempt to stay in that spot. One time I woke up plastered against our head board (face towards the board) because Ping was in my spot.

That is part of the reason the girls aren't allowed to sleep with us. The late night antics leave me exhausted and Phantom insits on purring with her nose pressed to mine. She purrs so loud it keeps me awake! Phenoms like sleeping at my feet or on my pillow and leaves be just the corner!

golly, I feel unloveable! Seb usually stays with me until i fall asleep then goes off to do whatever he does in the night. He lays on "his" pillow next to me while I stroke his ears or back. Sometimes he is there when I wake, sometimes in his bed.

Daphne, i think, is learning from him. She is still crazy kitten though. She decides it is playtime as soon as I go to bed - no matter what time that is. When I wake in the night, I'll notice her sleeping in the crook of my arm but she is gone by morning, sleeping on the cat tree or playing with something.

How lucky you are all to have such great sleeping partners

I'm so glad to know I'm not the only freak who lets her cat sleep between her legs. It can't be a tortie-only thing, though, because Forest does it with me. Add to that the fact that Tailer has to be plasted against my side, and it can make for some pretty uncomfortable nights. Harvey is the only one polite enough to sleep at the foot of the bed, but he does it on DH's side.

Here's my sketch:

Well, no sketch, but I can tell you Claire often sleeps like Trout, sometimes under the covers, sometimes not. Or she she sleeps right on top of me, which is fine except she's not exactly a dainty girl.
She also likes to stretch the entire length of her body across both pillows which leaves little space for me.

The others are more predictable with their sleep arrangements. Katie's always at my feet, Peter by my side curled up as close as he can get and Gracie's usually on the pillow wrapped around my head, provided of course, that Claire isn't already there. If she is, Gracie growls and swats at Claire so she gets up and moves. Apparently Gracie's very possesive of my head.

When i sleep on my side, Twinkle will sleep on my side! From my hip and along my waist. She's getting a little heavy!

Nat, Rosie likes just like Trout in your sketch!
And if i'm on my side the pair of them lie on my hip and thigh

And yes Rosie has tortitude alright. Just try gently moving her along from in front of the pc screen and you'll know about it!

Oh well, about the tortitude..we all know Trout has it

She bites me if I try to move her, or if I put my foot in front of her to divert her away from something..she strikes like a snake!

I get that long high pitched growl, followed by a couple of bats on my hand and she snacks at it as well as if to bite it
She did it last night and i couldn't have been more gentle trying to move her, but even when i gave up as a bad job she carried on growling for a few seconds

What a little madam i have, and look at her face in my siggy like butter wouldn't melt!!

Milo always sleeps in the same spot but Zebra changes so I drew her in both spots. She is either in between my legs or streched out beside me
