I am from Canada and have two wonderful cats as friends and companions. Their names are Persy (short for Perseverence) and his brother, Shadow and both are ten-year old tabbies, brown and black in an Ocelot pattern.
Persy has bluish eyes and Shadow, green.
Persy is laid back and takes the attitude that if it comes, it comes while Shadow cries and fusses if something is not forthcoming when he thinks it should be; he never remembers and assumes the worst--that I have forgotten him!
There are many more things that I could write about my cats but that would take pages!
Persy is currently undergoing tests at the vets and the prognosis, I am told, is not good. I don't know which I feel sorrier for, Persy who is sick or Shadow who stands the prospect of being alone after all these years. They are inseparable.
Oh, and yes there's me who is a (early) retired bachelor who loves reading and cars.

Just a brief note to thank everyone for their welcomes and notes of commisseration with Persy. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased.
He will go for an ultrasound to find out exactly what the mass in his chest is--a tumour or liquid build-up. I hope it is the latter because I love him--he is so loveable and gentle and smart!
I am willing to bear the expense to find out what ails him so I will know definitely but beyond that unless there is a definite cure...? The vet says the prognosis is not good if it is a tumour.

Welcome to TCS. I also have two brothers who are inseparable from each other, they are 9 months old, came from the same litter, born to a feral mom and rescued by a sweet lady who cared for them and obtained their shots and neutering before they came to live with me. Prayers for Persy and look forward to pics of both; I will post some pics of my furry babies later.
