I saw on our news this morning..a guy in Niagara Falls tied 10lb dumbells to his german shepherd and threw her in the Welland river

Someone found her I guess and figured out who her owner was, so he will have to go to court..but probably will only get a 3 year animal ban
He COULD get 6 months prison and $2000 fine, but unlikely they say.

The dog Queen was found with ear and eye infections, ALIVE, and is now at the Humane Society recovering very well..thank god
They are going to be accepting applications for her adoption in a couple week

This baby deserves the best family, and I pray that she gets that.

No words. NO WORDS. GSDs are high-maintenance dogs and as a result they are a breed that can suffer a lot of abuse at the hands of their owners as `punishment'.

What, pray tell, is wrong with surrendering the dog to a shelter if you don't want it? I can't rant enough about the lame punishment people like this receive - if they ever receive any. What a

Excuse my language. I am steaming.

What the heck is wrong with people.
If he didn't want the dog, give it up, don't try to kill it..I am glad that the dog has survived..I think they should put 100# weights on him and throw him into the river and see if he will survive..

Some people are just plain old evil.

I am glad that the dog survived and will be adopted by someone who will love it.

I think that instead of putting weights on the man and throwing him in the river, they should just let people who love animals have a go at him. I would love to just get one swing at him.

Most people who commit horrific crimes against companion animals only get a slap on the wrist.

I'm sending Queen love and healing vibes. I'm praying that she gets a new home where they feed her steak for dinner and give her the loving attention she deserves.

As for the
who did that to her, may a series of unimaginably awful things happen to him.
