i am playing some Gregorian chant music right now.and granted i have it kinda loud.

well, keith who is a older black guy ( the boss in the back plant tonight)
just stuck his head in the door to the computer room and Yelled at me

Yo hommie, what is that? some new type of strange white people music?.
so i had to tell him where this type of music comes from, it was all new to him

i hope no one thanks that is racist, but that is what he said, to me.
feel free to del this post if you want, me and keith get along great with each other.
anyway the way he said, just made me laugh.

Don't you just love educating people on different/unusual types of music. I went to visit a monastery when I was on religious retreat in Quebec. They were a silent order except when they were doing their Gregorian Chanting during services. They also made fabulous cheese. It was very soothing (and very fascinating to watch).

That's great! I remember that Gregorian Chant resurfaced about 10 years ago through some group...obviously I forgot what they're called.

Anyways, that's cool...I didn't realise people still listened to gregorian chant (well other than the music ed peeps)

While I haven't listened to my chant CD's for a while it is a relaxing type of music.

It's unfortunate that some people have not been exposed (or will expose themselves) to other types of music.

Enjoy the theater pipe organ myself.
