Leya, the one that went blind from surgery, started having litter box troubles soon after. I posted a thread on this and got a bunch of advice from everyone. Things would work for a day or so then she would go back to pooping outside the litter box. Then last week I saw her pee outside of the box and that was the LAST STRAW!!!!!

So, I went out and bought an automatic litter box. Problems solved!!! I'm sooo happy. Thanks everyone for the great advice
. I finally had the money saved up to take care of it the easy/expensive way!!!

It's actually the fact that it doesn't smell strongly because the pee is always cleaned out. Their senses are enhanced and therefor the smell gets too strong for them. Also I guess it's an instinct for survival to not have one place that stinks like them, it gives them away to preditors. This is all things I've learned from the people on this site!

Wow! I would never have guessed that a lack of scent would help! Isn't it amazing what smart people we have around here?
