I'm going to visit my grandson

in NYC. I leave on Sunday. I'm so lucky that my roommate will feed and care for our cats. We have 4 on 3 different foods with various suppliments. It can get very confusing.

My grandson had brain surgery 2 months ago and is having some behavioral problems since. A benign tumor was removed. I hope to stay with him and his little brother so that my daughter can have a break. She's at her wit's end. He really wants to see me and said I should stay 100 days.

I sleep in the livingroom without doors to close and on an air mattress. It's not the finest accomodations, but it's OK for a week or so. I'm not too sure about 100 days.

You'd be surprised at what you can get use to when you are with those you love and miss.

It is so sweet of you to go and help your daughter. I don't know much about brain surgery, but I'm sure that can cause some problems. Thank god the tumor was benign! I hope you enjoy your visit and air mattresses aren't THAT bad...getting up is the hardest part! I just roll and crawl to the nearest chair and pull myself up!

That's just what I have to do -- roll and get to a chair. I can never get up from the air mattress. It's fine for sleeping, but very bad for the knees. Their cat won't sleep with me either.

I hope that you have a great visit with your grandson, and I do hope that he gets better too.
