Skinny Momma

Hi,

Boo had her babies 8 days ago now and she is looking really thin. Im worried its really taking it out of her feeding these babies.

She is on the best quality kitten food I can afford to buy and im free feeding her and she is eating like a horse.

I just wondered if there was anything else I could give her to help her gain some much needed weight. She has at least 6 more weeks of feeding these kittens to go yet and I dont want her to get any thinner.

You could make up some kitten glop http://www.kitten-rescue.com/what_to_feed.html and let her have as much of that as she likes. It's full of vitamins and nutrients. You could also buy KMR, Lactol or Cimicat and let her have that.

Try some Nutracal too. Some of my rex queens with larger litters would get really skinny at times. I free fed them and also included kitten can food and boiled chicken breast
