DH used to work KKK rallies when he was an MP, and he always hated it. He has a very German last name and they used to call him "brother". He had choice words for that.

Oh yeah... mostly they'd do annoying rallies that had the possibility to get violent so the governor would call in the National Guard to make sure they were safe. That is, so that people didn't beat them up and drag them through the streets.

Indeed they do Danielle. Have you ever watched John Safran vs God? In one episode he goes to meet a Grand Dragon of the KKK and asks if he can be admitted to the Klan even though his father is Jewish. You should have seen the guy - one minute all welcoming, the next minute quietly scary and murderous.

John Safran certainly has guts, I'll give him that, but I felt he was in real danger there. He exposed a lot of really evil stuff the Klan do under a false pretence - he's lucky they let him go IMO. If he didn't have cameras and crew there I'm not sure what would have happened to him.

The Grand Dragon from the Klan actually said, `We are a bigoted, racist and white supremacist organisation'. Refreshing to hear the truth outright instead of coated in propaganda - but even scarier at that.

When I got my first tattoo I just went to this guy in the city. He was covered in them - every inch of skin (even his eyelids). But I was there with my boyfriend and his shop was very professional and bright and clean, so I didn't feel suspicious. Until he took me to the area where he actually did the work. There was a huge Swastika flag covering the doorway to the kitchen area, and a framed KKK membership certificate on the wall, alongside photographs of burning crosses and other obscenities. I was terrified and got out of there as quickly as I could. I'd already paid for my tattoo and was too frightened to leave without getting it - it was crooked and I didn't care. I just wanted to get out of there.

Oh yeah, it's alive and kicking. Even in little ol' Perth.

Sadly, I'm very, very familiar with the Klan. Here they only number about 300, but some of them go to rallies in places like Georgia and NC where there are thousands. Although none of my family are active in the Klan, a lot of them have that mindset...its why I have very little contact with them. My family is my tribe as far as I'm concerned. As for illegal immigration, it doesn't surprise me in the least that they would jump on that bandwagon. It has enough press to get them back in the news again.

I guess they'll be having cross burnings at the "church" here before too much longer, these things spread fairly quickly.

sorry to sound naiive but with things like this still occuring and being proclaimed,do non white people integrate in yr areas with white people or is everyone segregated?

I live in a very mixed neighborhood, but in areas of the US it is still very segregated. It simply depends on where one is.

This is very true. Nearly every city in Kentucky is totally integrated, but in some of the urban areas, "way out in the county", it's not seen at all. In the area of Warren County where my parents live, it is an almost totally white population.

Now that shows you the level of sophistication of many of those the KKK attracts. Unfortunately, they're protected by the Constitution.

Living in Southern AZ, with a large Hispanic population, the KKK doesn't get much attention. The black and Hispanic gangs and drug/people smugglers cause MUCH more trouble, than any "hate groups". Some parts of Tucson are segregated but, that is by choice. For the most part, I have always lived in mixed, middle-class neighborhoods.

We have the Minutemen, civilian volonteers, patrolling along the border, observing and reporting illegals coming across. I view them as more of a neighborhood watch group. A lot of illegals even turn themselves in to the Minutemen, when they're in distress. The Minutemen give them food and water and call the Border Patrol to come and pick them up. No one is detained, against their will.

One of my nephews spent 10 years in prison and joined the Aryan Brotherhood. He is covered in swastika and SS lightning bolt tattoos. With my Jewish (by marriage) last name and Hispanic DIL, nephew and I don't exactly see eye-to-eye. Fortunately, we don't have much contact.

oh yea, one of the leaders of the KKK lives right down the street from me. I was also told david duke used live around here also, dont know if that true or not. He once came over and shot some trap with me in the back yard, with me and rich(black guy) ,, the idea of using him as a target did flash in my mind for a second. but hey, each person has the right to there views, in america even if i hate his views.

But neet is right, people will start taking the law into there hands when the goverment fails to do its job. When that happens people who are legal people who are american but mexcian purto rican background will also be hurt.
the goverment seems to have forgotten i the last 40 years, that power of the goverment comes from the people. It seems to me that most of the people do not want ill legal aliens.

hmm No i was overseas i think for that. But i do remember when they had one back when i was collegel, and was running around trying to get people to join .

we went with the group that i was friends with, which was a mix of white, blacks, PR , and mexcian of course the cops sent us home, for trying to start issue.

so yea they are alive and well in this area.

Scary stuff. The resurgence/growth of the extreme right in Europe mirrors what is happening in the US with the KKK.

The Imp has said it right.....legal aliens welcome, illegal aliens not welcome. If governments effectively implemented laws for this, these bigoted groups would have to find something else to pick on (or better still stay home and wash (or burn) their white sheets)

What worries me is that a person maybe influenced to support these right wing groups just because they are unhappy with the situation regarding illegal aliens...and then get brainwashed into supporting all the rubbish they spin about jews, the holocaust, white supremacy and general global racism etc.

France - jeez. That's another story lol. I lived there and had to get out. Beautiful country and maybe not all parts are as badly affected, but where I was (suburbs of Paris) the National Front were right on my door step making life difficult for the north african/magrebain (arab) community. Which would in turn cause them to react. A never ending vicious circle of hatred and violence.

The KKK has evolved, it has changed with the times. You still see the white sheets and hoods, but only at rallies. Otherwise it's military style dungarees, "men in black" type suits, sunglasses and caps instead of hoods, and pretty 14 year old twins singing pop songs about what a great man Hitler was

I actually saw a documentary...two beautiful blonde 8 year old girls with a great capacity for intelligence, who were taught by their mum to sing 'Hitler is great' and '(not a very nice word beginning with N) should be strung up' type songs. Very sad. If only their mother was feeding them the information to make them as individuals reach their inner potential as good human beings, and not this brainwashing rubbish which really dominated these 8 year old girls lives. I mean from Breakfast to Bedtime it was reinforcement about the KKK. Toys and games were KKK approved. Even a map of the world for the kids' home tutored geography lesson was 'KKK propaganda'. The children were encouraged to use bad language towards other races. But in other conversations, they would be sorely disciplined if they used bad language (how bizarre is that?)

We all know how the seed of racism and other negative 'isms' is so powerfully harmful when planted in young minds.

Thats the one's that I'm talking about. They have been doing their performance for "select audiences" since they were 8 years old, they will be 15 or 16 now. I googled them, and of course, they aren't mentioned in any US news source that I could find, I had to get this article from the Telegraph

I definitely agree with you on this. I think illegal immigrants need to be deported back to their countries and if they want to come to the US they need to do it LEGALLY! Laws need to be enforced that are not being. As a converted Jew (i'm a Christian- but i still go to temple regurally to keep up with my Jewish heritage and have a deeper sense of where my Christianity stems from) i will be open and just say i am scared of the KKK....and all other similar hate groups. I think their beliefs and practices are evil....the last thing we need right now is those horrid KKK members targeting yet another group of people.

Those twin girls ya'll are talking about are called "Prussian Blue" Lynx and Lamb are their names i think. I saw a special on them on tv once- VERY disturbing...what is even worse is their family...just aweful...they definitely engrained that junk in their heads.
