Over the river and through the woods...
Good lord! I came home tonight and they are all crazy! The dogs are chasing the cats, the cats are chasing the dogs, and everyone is chasing me! I had the dogs out 3 times having them chase balls, sticks, anything I could find and they STILL are hyper. I'm about worn out! Anyone else experiencing this? Is it the full moon, spring or what??

No crazy pets. But I can attest to the affects that the moon has on people.

I'm a nurse and whenever there is a full moon, the "crazed eldery" go even crazier! I used to work on a family medical ward that had a large number of elderly patients and many of them had some type of mental deficite be it alzheimers or just plain dimentia. However, regardless of what it was that afflicted them mentally, they were so much more bizzar during a full moon.

Yep, mine are going nuts! But I was doing crafty stuff earlier and had ribbon, cardboard boxes, plastic bags and all other such exciting playthings out, and they still haven't settled down from that yet...

The four-leggeds are remarkably sane, given the phase of the moon, but the two-leggeds I was dealing with all day gave a new meaning to "the day from hell" -- maybe we can blame that on the moon.

Ooo! good luck Alaynna! Has the baby dropped yet? Actually I'm sure by now he/she has.

whitey has seemed really depressed lately. I'm hoping that its the full moon's affects rather than anything else.

Watching the robins sing!
My two girls are sleeping soundly.
But, we always prepare in the office for crazier than normal encounters with customers.
And my brother, a retired police officer, has always maintained that there was more violance during a full moon and the the prisoners were always a little bit nuts during a full moon!

My dogs always used to go crazy during full moon, but it has never seemed to affect my cats.

None of my animals seemed to be affected by it, but I went to sit outside for a while the night before last and heard at least 15 neighborhood dogs going NUTS... they barked and howled for over an hour. John's parent's dogs were going nuts as well, they barked all night.

Loving my beautiful baby girl
It's so funny for you guys to bring this up! Yes, my girlies have both had the crazies during this full moon, even more than usual! I believe it's because they've already had Spring Fever and being a bit more hyper because of that. Now, add the full moon in as well, and their flat out nutty
I never did get any sleep last night because of my sweet girlies being so silly. Sierra was even hyper having a couple of running spells, leaping up on the bed, and pawing my face to get up with her.
When I laid back down, it was Serenity who kept running her laps all over the bed, then shrieking through the house only to jump back up in my face with a toy! Enough with that sleep idea, Mommy, come play with me!
She then proceeded to meow at the top of her lungs until I gave in and got up to play. Walking into the kitchen, I found the paper towels shreaded all over the place, Sierra's doing, or at least she was the instigator without a doubt!
Mommy will be having quite a sleep deprived day, but I'm always so happy to see my sweet little loves happy

I can't believe you've brought this up it's so uncanny. Last night was a night to remember. All night - ALL night - we were kept awake by this one dog somewhere in the distance barking and barking - the poor thing, honestly, some people shouldn't be allowed to have pets if they neglect them like that

ANYWAY....it set off a whole lot of other dogs in the neighbourhood and our guys, who barely bark once every two months, were harrumphing and snuffling and woofing ALL NIGHT. Not to mention trotting up and down, up and down, up and down on our wooden floors with their claws (and these two are 100lb between them) back and forth, trying to get access to the goings-on outside.

I almost put them out a couple of times but then they would have barked for real. Max said this morning it was the clearest, brightest full moon last night. I guess it really was the witching hour - ALL night...
