~Only problem Im having is mom keeps licking off the cream! This is medication so Im sure it cant be good for her to be LICKING on it! How do I stop her from taking off the meds I put on?~

~Here is pics this morning of her with the babies. Lazuli's head is looking better not as crusty but he just looks silly right now because he has no hair on either side of his head...just a mohawk. Makes him look like a rad cat right now haha but he is doing better~

~Here is pic of her cleaning off the cream several minutes after Ive put it on and waited for it to asorb in before I let her around them but she still licks and licks. Is all that licking good on the ringworm spots? I know moist is NOT good for it.~

They do look better since your other pics. Im glad things are picking up.
I love Lazuli's pic.....he looks so cute like he's trying to be scary!

Im really not sure what you could do to stop momma licking the cream off. Maybe you could keep them seperated a little longer.

If they're refusing to nurse from mumcat, you might have to start bottle-feeding or syringe-feeding. If they still refuse, you may have to ask the vet or vet tech to teach you how to tube feed just to keep them going while they're not well.

If they have ringworm, NoNo most likely has it too, so she will need treatment.
I believe in another thread she had, she said that Nono, the kittens, and her other cat have ringworm.
I sure do hope that they get better, but just keep with treating it.

Actually the vet gave me enough meds to treat all my pets for ringworm BUT only Oreo has actual ring worm spots on her and she has a couple isolated round spots. NoNo doesnt show any spots or dry flaky skin...YET...I say yet because with her nursing the babies she probably will get it too from then nursing and cuddling with her. I dont see how Oreo has spots and NoNo doesnt.

I think maybe Oreo had it first because she had a small spot on her neck when I first got her and I just assumed it came from being a stray cat and fighting with other cats. Never got worse etc. Now all of a sudden is looks alot worse. Also she lays with the babies when NoNo is not around, licking them, cleaning up after them and letting them climb on her so Im pretty sure SHE gave it to the babies. I just dont understand how NoNo hasnt gotten it from the babies thus far??? Ive got the meds to treat her if/when she breaks out I just hate sitting and waiting for HER to get worse while Im struggling to make the babies get better. My luck they will clear up right as she is coming down with it! I will have to completely wean them off her and do bottle feeding if so because I dont want to risk them catching it again!

Lazuli's head is looking much better but does anybody know how long it will take for my little punk rock mo hawk kitten to grow his hair back??

If the infection is fully gone where the spot is, you will see stubble in the next 4 days or so and he should have all his hair back in about 3-4 weeks.

Oh just to add, some cats fight off ringworm well or don't seem to get it, while others come down with it really badly. Maybe it has something to do with how strong their immune system is.

~They are doing better already. Nursing more often, playing with each other, fighting and giving mom all sorta trouble. Here is an updated pic of today. I just feel so sorry for Lazuli with his wild hair. He is/was the runt but not he's got a bit of an attitude...I wonder if the hair do has anything to do with it haha!~

~PS When do kittens eyes change color? Right now Tosca and Lazuli's eyes are still real blue but Youssarians are already changing dark.~

They start changing at around 5 1/2 weeks. This is Bonnie at just under 6 weeks, you can see the colour of her iris changing, going from the pupil outwards.

The babies are looking better! Keep persevering with the treatment

They are all gorgeous but that grey one, is it Lazuli? He just looks like such a character.
