Strange scabby thing?

Our younger kitty, about 4 yrs old, likes to wrestle around with the other cat. It's always playful, but every once in a while a claw gets one of them. I noticed last week that on the left of her nose, she had a dark spot, and while she moved incessantly when I tried to inspect, it looked to me to be a scab. Then, yesterday, it looked like a flesh-colored wart!!!! Now today the wart-like thing is gone and it's just a bare spot with dried blood on part of it, like a scab fell off. Can a scab look like a wart and then fall off?

Yes, I think so. I've seen what look like "warts" on dogs noses from when they rub on chain link kennel. Eventually the scab comes off and you have the woud underneath.
