As most of you know, I'll be getting a kitty after I move at the end of June. I've been looking all over for a pet store that carried all the premium food brands. Every store I've been to has had a couple brands, but not others, or they had dry, but not wet, something was always missing.

I found one today, nearby, which is a little local store that carries every brand of wet and dry I could even dream of! Its great! Now I feel so relieved that I will know where to shop for kitty when I get him

And to top it all off, when I walked in the first thing I saw was one of the store resident cats, a huge fluffy long haired black kitty that looked so much like my RB girl Alley that I started crying when I saw him! I sure know how to make a good impression in stores don't I?

I am sure they would understand as they are obviously cat lovers themselves. Glad you found a great place!

Ive been trying to find a petsmart in my area to get my demon dog into training but there arent any except an hour and a half away from my house. We have a Super Petz but I was unimpressed by their staff. I went in there looking for specific flea wash and stuff for my house and the ppl there didnt even think they carried flea stuff!! I was like WTH this is a pet store!!!! On top of that when I asked other people about their training they said that it was you paying for a class that you can do yourself at home with a book! Id love to find a good pet store around here that has people who actually care about the customers...The only perk is that if Im running and have the dog or cat with me I can stop there for food or whatnot and take them in with me instead of leaving them in the car. Ohhh another dumb thing they did...Noone knew the number to PA Pets...Nor the website address...Its a pet store!!!! How do they not have the number/web address for Pa Pets..They sell pets there!!!! Duhhhhh!!!! Sorry lazy employees that choose to work in a customer service enviorment irritate me!

I have a PetSmart close by that I really like. They always have a great selection and the owner is a very much of a cat person so is quite knowledgeable when I have questions. Plus I love the fact that he brings his cat and dog to work with him everyday and allows his staff to bring their pets as well as long as everyone get along of coarse. It is not only a great atmosphere but also a wonderful place to shop. His cat Hercules is a huge black DSH who greets every customer as they come into the store...The perfect public relations cat

You crack me up sometimes Paula! Here, a cat person is planning for where to get food, etc. the way a mother would prepare to give birth! Not that I care....I'd be doing the same thing.

I'm glad you found a wonderful store....have you started buying toys yet?

I'm glad that you were able to find a place close to home and that carries what you need.

That's wonderful! I take it this store is not part of a chain store network. Do they have their own web site? Good luck with your new kitty. I wonder if anybody ever names cats like some people name people. For instance, Alley II, or something like that. Or there are other plays on words like Alley Too. I used to have just a single goldfish that I named Woody (after a friend of mine). My last goldfish was named Woody IV. I called him Woody For.

That's exactly what I feel like, lol. Planning for a baby! I haven't started buying toys yet because I don't want to have to move them, but I have lots of stuff picked out!

There's no website and I don't think its a chain, but I guess it could be and I'm just not aware. Its called P.J. Pets. They have some toys and things, but it seemed to concentrate mostly on food, which is great. There is a petsmart nearby also, so I can get all the litter supply, etc. that I need there, but they didn't seem to have many options on food, so this place is great!
I'll probably be getting a boy kitty. Alley was my babygirl and I will feel less like I'm "replacing" her if I don't get another girl just yet. No names picked out yet though!
