I am writting for a Co worker, anyway, There is a very good chance that this cat could be pregnant, but I always thought that the milk came later in pregnancy? This cat hasnt gained much weight... but the nipples are large and when you squeeze them some liquid is expelled in two dots on each side of the nipple... My question is... what else could this be?

Infection - but the cat should be seen by a vet. You don't get liquid from the nipples till a few days before delivery. If its not obvious the cat is pregnant - it could be something else.

If this was a stray, she could have recently (within last day or two) delivered the kittens and they are either dead or she can't nurse them. If that's the case, the cat still should be seen by a vet real soon.

It sounds like colostrum, the pre-milk that the kittens get during their first feed. If the nipples are large, the cat may be in her last couple of weeks of pregnancy.

The poster didn't really mention the cat looked pregnant - that's why I think she might have delivered if she's not gained weight. Maybe they can clarify that point on IF the cat is big like she's pregnant or skinny. Skinny would indicate she might have delivered within a day or two.

My Co worker says the cat is a little heavier but nothing that screams pregnancy... I told her it is possible for the cat to maybe carrying a singleton... I dont know? this is baffeling... but the cat will be seen on friday and all questions will be answered (hopefully lol) I would like to clarify that this cat is an indoor/outdoor UNSPAYED female so it is possible.... Very irresponsible for her to not have her spayed... but this isnt my cat
