Last night when I was in the shower Mika, and Hunter, got into a fight!! Hunter is alright, and Mika is alright too, Mika got the worst of it, having a scratch or bite on her nose. I don't know why they would start fighting all of the sudden.. They were best friends!! Mika used to love other cats too.. I don't know what happened.. Do you guys?? Thank you for reading!

She's trying to protect her babies... keep her seperated from the other animals so that she doesn't feel like they are being threatened.

Thats what I thought, my step-dad threw her outside last night after that, he was drinking, of course.. And he is a mean drunk. But, thats what I thought she was doing. I will keep her separated, but take her out, on a harness, and leash.
So she can get some fresh air.

Throwing a nursing momma outside????????? What if the babies (who are still effectively newborn kittens) need to nurse? And, to add major insult to injury, Mika is still not spayed!!!!! She'll be pregnant again before you know it, Spirita.

Sad.

I'd really love to have a heart-to-heart with your stepdad.

Yeah I know.....
Your step-dad is a real jerk (no offense) regardless to whether or not hes drunk. What does your mom think about him? My mom just got married back in Jan., and he is really nice. And loves animals more than the rest of us. So I guess I was lucky. How long since they've been married? I hope that your situation with him gets better. Its a really hard thing to go through. My real dads alot like that too, an animal hater, for themost part. But I'm not planning on living with him for much longer at all. I don't get along with him whatsoever. Hes changed so much since he went through cancer, a total different person. He used to be so nice, and get along with me great. But not now...
Wait just a quick question, is he like that when hes sober too?

Oh, that makes me so mad what your stepdad did. I don't care if he was drunk or not. That is unacceptable and not fair to poor Mika who is just being a cat. I would like to have a word with him, too.
