effects of lemon juice

my little girl loves to share my bed time water when i am sleeping i added lemon to my water three nights ago and two of my three girls have the runs does anyone have an idea of the effects of lemon juice. before i jump the gun and bring them to the vet unesseciarly

Cats generally don't like citrus, so I am surprised that she drank it at all.

As far as effects go, I think you've seen them: it gave her the runs.

In the future, if you are going to have water with lemon it it, please make sure that she can't get at it, that should solve your problem.

I'm surprised she drank it too. I actually use orange to keep my Frankie from peeing on the kitchen floor.
