Can cats lose their voice or have a sore throat??
Frankie's mew doesn't sound the same as it usually does....it's sort of croaky and much quieter. As you know Bengals are really vocal and very loud but today you can hardly hear him and his mew sounds so pathetic....is it possible for them to get laryngitis??

Bailey gets URIs 2 or 3 times a year and will get hoarse then. He had one after he had surgery in February and he's been hoarse off and on since then. He's got this huge meow, and sometimes he'll open his mouth and all that comes out is this little croak. He always looks a little surprised.

So, in my own experience, I would say that yes, cats can get laryngitis or something like it anyway.

Mine did after having anesthesia for teeth cleaning, other than that I would think a call to vet would be in order
