I posted a short while back about our 'craigslist-rescued' Maine Coon cat, and her piddling problem. We went to the vet and he suggested it was a rare disorder that required surgery, and I posted on here. After the wonderful advice of getting a urinalysis I went back to the vet and asked repeatedly for one. After telling me it was a waste of money, he complied. Surprise, surprise, it showed that Bella has a severe UTI. She is on strong antibiotics and was on a mild pain reliever, but she finished those off. We have a week or so left on the meds until she gets re-evaluated by the vet, and she seems to be doing much better! Thanks to all who gave me the good advice!

Now that my beautiful Bella is getting better, I want to make sure that I'm continually providing the best I can for her (off to post another thread on her behavior...) I am a "dog person" recently convinced that cats are cool, too. So, I applied what I learned about dog nutrition and reading labels to cats, but I'm still a little confused. The cats were on Eagle Pack even before all of these recalls. Is this a good food with Bella's UTI problems as well? I've read that it can be related to diet

We ran out of food the other day, and when I went to buy more they were all out of EP, so I had to buy Chicken Soup... is that a good food as well? I'm leaning towards liking the EP better, but I'd love some more opinions.
I am currently switching my dogs to a all raw diet. I've been reading mixed reviews on cats on raw. Does anyone here feed it???
TIA!

with the right research, a raw diet is great for cats. I don't have the time nor the patience to do it myself, but I do feed the premade raw made by Prairie. You could try that out and see if she will take to it. Most of my cats eat it without much problem, but a few still want their kibble.
