Old Cat, not doing so well

I wrote a thread not long ago about my 16 year old cat with one non-working kidney and UI infections all the time. My mother called me today to say that she hasn't been eating or using the bathroom for a few days and is being force fed. She is also just laying around meowing as if in pain. I went down to see her last week and she seemed really out of it. Like she didn't have a clue that I was petting her. Mom took her to the vet and they are thinking about putting her down...... I'm going home in two days to see her again and if she's not better it will probably be the last time.

I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty. Did the vet give your Mom any idea as to what the problem is? I truly hope she isn't in pain. Sending (((hugs))) to you and your Mom, and special prayers for your kitty.

Here she is, my mom just called me to tell me she lost body temp and then two hours later she passed away. I had her for the last 16 years and it crushes me that I didn't make it there before she died. I'm going there in the morning
