Hubby wants to buy me one (so we have room to put all 9 of our cats in their carriers, to go to the vet's). If so, what do you like about it, and not like about it? I'm also short; would it be easy for me to drive?

Thanks!

I don't own a Kia or a Kia mini van. But a few years back (about 3 1/2 yrs) my sister bought a Kia car(new) that was a train wreck from day one. Right now they have to get one part for it than they are selling it. They are only selling it for 2500.00. So me personally I would not get a Kia. Here are some reviews from Kia Sedona owners:

I has a Kia about 10 years ago and I had the same experience as Ping's sister
you might want to look into a Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna

I have a 2000 Honda Odyssey with @ 57K miles on it,(we've owned it for about 2 years now) and I love it! The 3rd row folds flat, which is great for hauling stuff (like cat trees!
) and the seats in the middle row are removable and I can use bungee straps and tie down the dog's crate to the seat hooks in the floor if I need to (but I can do this with only having to remove one seat). What's funny is, having a teenage guy (who is helping me out with my cat tree, sandbox, etc.) watching me fold that 3rd row seat flat into the boot and hear him say "Cool!"

I am only 5' 1" and it fits me great
. I can also see out the sides and back better in the Odyssey than the Sienna. The seat sits a little different than other cars I've had (including a Honda Accord wagon), but my back doesn't hurt on long drives anymore, either, so I'm thinking that's a good thing
. When you go searching for a new vehicle, do invest in a Carfax account, IMHO. It really helped me weed out a few vehicles, and I printed one out on the car I was selling for prospective buyers, too.

I have also heard really good things (on my Ody Club forum) about the 1st generation Odysseys, too. They are supposed to be really reliable (they have 4 car doors and a hatchback, instead of the sliding doors)! And they come up in the newspaper here alot more often than I would expect, since the 2nd generation has been out since 1999, I think. Apparently, they were still making them outside the US not that long ago.

Good luck! I love car shopping! Lots of hunting and praying! LOL!

I have a 2006 Kia Sedona and love it! It is great for the 2 car seats and the back seats are soooooooooo easy to fold down. The amount of room in it is amazing. It is easy to drive. My hubby did alot of car investigating before getting this one and we love. Important thing to note - in the Lemonaid books they say only buy the model year 2006 and after due to the ones before aren't as ggod.

I definately recommend!
