NO ... It is common in China to do thing s like this.. hence why FREE trade is so dangerous
No doubt the chemical was added in a deliberate way, was the purpose to poison pets? I don't believe so. I think the act was strictly financial. Greedy shortcuts to make a product look better than it actually is. All this is my opinion.
This is the way they do things in mainland China - the Chinese in Hong Kong never use food products from China because of this.
