We lost a feral cat from a colony today. Smoky had been getting thinner and thinner everyday and we decided to try to trap him and take him to the vet. My sister was able to pick him right up so we knew that it was going to be serious. The vet tested him and told us he was in kidney failure and the best thing would be to put him to sleep.
This comes at a bad time since 6 of our colony has recently disappeared, including one of my own cats.
Some of the remaining cats seem a little depressed and unhappy. Please send prayers for Smoky that he is now happy and in no more pain. He will be missed.
