and I go in for an interview with another company. The position is for the area that I am earning my degree in and its my first one since starting up this program, so I'm a little nervous.

There are days that I enjoy the job i do have, but most days I don't. I get very tired of the user support and dealing the crap that goes on here (find my post the other day).

Boyfriend thinks I'm missing the point of my whole job. He sees it as all flowers and bubbles, but that's just because he's only been to the Christmas parties where they all are nice. However the environment for about 10 individuals here is very different from the Christmas party.

I'm not asking for vibes, since i don't know if I want the job, but I just wanted to share this with everyone.

Good luck. At least the interview will be a good experience. I hope you find something that you love to do!

Thanks everyone!

Well that is going down at one of the worse interviews Jenney has ever had.

First a brief story: I knew the person was going to call me last Friday so I sat by my [cell] phone all day. I never let it part from my side. The phone NEVER rang that day. So I didn't think too much about it, thought maybe he would call on monday. Saturday comes and sure enough a message from him...except the message was left on FRIDAY...my cell phone never connected the call or the message.

Basically the interviews were suppose to be Monday and Tuesday. I called Monday and basicallly we were able to schedule for today (by the end of Monday he did have a few more that he was interviewing.

So today I'm all pumped for it, reviewing the questions, readying myself to leave in 5 minutes. Then the DREADED support call. Nothing simple, nope, never is. The server that filters all the good email from the bad email went down. So 30 minutes latter I'm RUNNING out the door (pretending I'm late for my doctors appt) ready to burst into tears (I hate being late). Everyone is doing 70 mph on the highway that typically goes 80+. All the slow people are all over the highway, so I had to be fancy merging around them at 85 mph.

The map web site I used told me to get off at one exit, when I find out 5 minutes later that I had to get off at the previous exit.

Then I get past the guard and am parked, walking up to the building when the strap on my shoe broke off. They're high heeled Mary Janes. So now I'm trying to walk as fast as possible into this building with one broken shoe.

I was so fluster with everything that happened that to make a longer story short, if I had any chance of the job before, I have no chance now.

Oh well.

You can still recover if you had a good enough excuse and a stellar interview with some hiring managers, remember they are just people, like you and me. Good luck!!!!!! I agree, a thank note would not hurt.

Yes I had called as soon as I left work and left him a message stating what had happened and that I was on my way (this was 30 minutes before the interview...the trip was 30 minutes as well).

And Yes, I did send that thank you e-mail
