Profile picture help

Thread Starter
I just got past my 700 posts where I could actually put a profile picture. When I would browse and find a small picture I wanted and try to save the field, it would say upload failed. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong and why it won't let me upload it? I have save the pic to the dimensions required and it is below the kb necessary.

I assume it is the avatar and not profile pic and you got it sorted?

Y, I meant the avatar. However, I have found many moving avatars on another website, but do not know how to upload them and keep them moving. There is no download button, but they are offered for anyone to take.

right click on the image, click properties, copy the image location (will end in .gif, .jpg or .png) and enter that text into option 1 for the upload on TCS

or

right click on the image, click save image as / save as and save it to your computer and upload using option 2

I have tried both options seperately. Either it will say the file is too large, or I get a picture, but it will not move like it should. Any other ideas?

are you allowed animated graphics (not sure if you are a paid member and if non paid members can have them )

check with Ryan (Hydroaxe) or Stephanie (DawnofSierra)

Didn't think about that. lol That's a good point.

Non Paying members can have animated avatars. I had one for a short time before I came a paid member.

I think sometimes for whatever reason, some animated gifs just won't animate. I usually messed around with the settings in a program I use until it worked.

It looks as if she got it sorted out. Non-subscribers can have animated avatars, but everybody has to be careful about the file size. Some gifs are huge.
