HELLLLLPPPPP... I have been pretty sick the last couple days (my voice is pretty much gone, I keep coughing my lungs out, blowing my brains out through my nose, etc)
and I really NEED to get this budget done for work before Friday but my brain is NOT functioning right and I am not that great with math..

Hopefully someone out there can help me out a bit...

Here's what I am supposed to do- I coordinate internship & job fairs so I am responsible for budgets. I need to do 2 budgets- (predicted budget with profits using 10% and 15% discounts). I want to encourage employers to NOT use one service (interpreters) included in the registration fees so I want to offer a discount to people who will NOT use that service. The reason for this is because it has been a HUGE challenge for me to find enough interpreters for employers in the past. Some had to share interpreters and of course I get to hear all the complaints about THAT. I have put in the request for interpreters at least ONE YEAR in advance and STILL have a hard time finding enough interpreters for all the employers who needs interpreters. Some of these employers have their own interpreters or COULD send representatives that KNOWS sign language but they STILL request interpreters from us anyway..
So, I am trying to offer an incentive for them to BRING their own interpreter or send reps who knows sign language. Hope this is making sense so far?

Here's what I am trying to do-
I am trying to decide if I should offer a 10% or 15% discount per employer for not needing an interpreter..

General registration fees-
Gov/Business fee would be $500.
Non profit/Education fee would be $250.

If I predict that about 35 gov/business agencies and 15 non profit/education agencies will participate, that means for gov/bus- a total of $17,500 and a total of $3,750 for non profit/education. RIGHT?
That means a grand total of $21,250.- right?
Now if I predict out of 50 employers, 25 will NOT need interpreters therefore these 25 employers will be using a discount of 10% for their registration fees- what's the next step?

I am confusing myself even more as I type this!

Now what do I do?? How do I figure out the discount with this? Tell me what I'm doing wrong. My brain is DEAD..
The cats won't help me with this either...

Help...

Oh ok .. This is JUST GREAT!! Dear OLD SPIKEY decided to HELP me by walking over my work binder full of papers and pushed it off the desk so now papers are scattered everywhere on the floor! Now I have to collect all the papers up and reorganize it!

I KNOW he did not do it on purpose but come on!!

I just DO NOT NEED this!

My guess to the next step is figuring out how much they save (total) with the discount.... After that do you need to find a way to make up the difference for giving a discount?

Ok- I'm not surprised I lost you.. I got lost myself.. LOL.. Let me try to explaina bit more- I need to see how much profits we would earn with 10% compared with 15% discounts..

Does that help??
