I have a decent camera (I think) and I still cannot do what these great photographers do. I have seen people get great shots with cheap cameras. Think it has more to do with talent than equipment

edit: OR, I just don't know what I'm doing!

Here's what my cheaper camera can do, a few from my old camera, and even some from a 35 MM too. I am just starting out, hoping to improve my technique so when I do get my awesome camera, I will be ready:
Poppy (New camera)

Dane's Rocket (New)

Waterfall (New)

Sunset up North Wisconsin (old camera)

Unmarred sea of snow (New)

A touch of color in winter. (New)

Coyote (or) paw prints in the sand along the lake up north (scanned from 35 MM)

A lizard hiding (scanned)

Fall colors in Eagle River (scanned)

Wild Geranium (New)

Six Spotted Tiger Beetles (New)

Great new pics everyone!

To get great pics you just have to experiment with your camera with different settings. Different cameras do different things. Equipment does have something to do with it if you want REALLY good pictures. If you want to get really into it, nice lenses make a differance as well. I would like to get new lenses for my camera so my pics can be even better then they are. But yes, photography IMO also does take talent as well.

Keep up the good work everyone! All these photos are amazing and I really enjoy looking at them! Keep 'em coming!

Here`s a few more from me!

Fisherman at Hastings gutting his catch.

Cliff at Hastings beach.

This is a view of the East Hill. The lift that you can see broke while we were there and we got stuck in the carpark as the road was blocked with emergency services. No one was hurt though, it was just precation.

I am from England but currently live in Yorktown V
Here are a few of my favorite photos, (sorry they have my name on them, they are on flikr so I credited them to me)

This is a London street that I used photoshop to edit,

This is my first attempt at night photography, I took a lot of photos to get one good one

This was a lucky snap of the London Eye, we went on it while we were on our honeymoon. It was such a fluke I took this, we were walking to get a taxi, it had just started to rain and I turned around and took the picture, didnt realise how dramatic it looked until I was going back through my 500 honeymoon pics the other day

Hi everyone. I love photography and I'm loving all your pictures! Here are some pictures of mine.
I particularly like black and white pictures. I ont include any kitty pics becaus I post those in the fur pics section.
My dog Millie in a tree. I had some trouble with the glare on her face but I'm okay with how it turned out.
